My mother has her own set of political values, and was on the radio as one of the few Scots still alive who had been interned in a Japanese PoW camp. 2020 has been a tough year for her: we recently lost her much-loved husband, but she's a courageous woman, as you heard, Colin.

Natalie Usher went at the start of the year, now Janet Archer is stepping down from Creative Scotland. A good time to consider a bonfire for this quango's layers of bloated box-ticking bureaucracy, and reviewing its strained relations with artists

Over the past year Cineworld have given cinema releases to Scottish films made in Scotland with Scottish Actors Crews Directors and Writers. Films that otherwise might not have got a cinema release. Isolani, Anna and The Apocalypse to name two. Wild Rose also made in Glasgow.
