At the moment I'm getting some hate for using the phrase "menstruator" in the story. Funnily enough, I've also gotten hate for using "women." What strikes me the most tragic about all of this, is it makes it even harder to talk about periods & reproductive health.

This @guardian story is infuriating. I used to think my painful periods were an anomaly. Recently, people have been telling me their stories. So many of us are in pain every month and expected to suffer in silence. It's not acceptable.
