Point 1 is literally disproven! There was a nobel prize about it! point 3 is questioned since countrues with most generous unemployment schemes are ones with lowest unemployment rate and highest labour force participation;
premises of 2 I disagree with, like company Politics doesn't cause any inefficiency ever :/. Point 4 is dumb, not having safety regulations is gonna hurt employment if your employees are losing hands all the time > :(
Saw this chart on the ABC, and wanted to put it into perspective: You need to be in the at least top 5% of incomes across the board to be able to buy a house in Australia in 2024. In Sydney if you own a house you a literally the 1%
I drank a thc drink labeled “intense” in very small letters instead of a cbd one before a class field trip to an art gallery. My mistake for not paying closer attention but I’m probably acting really normal considering how I feel

As someone who actually looked into this I struggled any references to nationalist use of Eureka pre-1980's. Very heavy reference to Communist and use in strikes, but hardly ever by nationalist groups.
Only been last 2 decades that Eurkea has become popular with Nationalists
It blows me away that communists fly the Eureka flag. Even crazier, Australian Communist Party members seemed quite taken aback this evening when reminded that the flag - and Australian labor movements - originate from strong nationalist sentiments.

Once again, Linus, who has consistently been skeptical of unions in work places now has former employees coming out against conditions in the company.
Join your union.
As a member of Labor with nothing to gain, the membership of a individual to a party should not be used to make their point irrelevant.
People who want change shouldn't do so purely through just charity work.
Genuinely bad media watch reporting.
“ … the media has a responsibility to tell viewers which team she’s batting for.”
10 News fails to disclose that an advocate for renters’ rights featured in a news story is a former Greens national secretary.
New Feature: Seats now auto scoll to them in the parliament map. Also highlights when clicked; And integrated with the actual seat/Layout map of parliament.
Idk if this is bait; but in the order of people in power who are most responsible for the suffering of Palestinian people I think Albo wouldn't even crack the top - like - 20.
Am I crazy?? This feels like an insane take. Surly tag like Biden at least or Scholz??
@aus_pill
the only context where "labor" is used in Australian lexicon is with a capital L to refer to the Labor party.
There is no other context where this is correct usage of the word.
But as someone proud of you country, and against Americanisation of it, I'm sure you already know this
Surly its the other way around? Blair didn't govern until the mid 90's and Australian Labor used Neo-Liberal but center left type beat from the early 80's with Hawke + Keating.
Surly Blair drew from Australian Labor and progressives??
@pete_radio
bruh people should be able to buy and use weed legally.
Even so, wouldn't you rather money (that gets spent regardless) go to local businesses and taxes for schools and hospitals instead of some drug lord?
Also takes power from gangs.
The case for legalisation is overwhelming.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has been accused of showing a ‘galling lack of empathy’ for WA farmers after cracking ‘jokes’ at the expense of sheep producers about the proposed live export ban.

highly doubt that because the study you cite was done pre covid..
that would throw off a lot of socialisation stuff (also you went to an all boys school)
Reminder to anyone who got a bad ATAR score: I got like 72 ATAR and literally hasn't mattered since then.
I'm in a good uni course at the top uni in my state, and get distinctions in a lot of subjects.
Do not let arbitrary numbers define you ♥️
Just had an IRL discussion at the pub after a young Labor meeting about
@1854plus1984
The specifics of "incel socialism" was discussed.
Cjed has finally made it.
I also posted it on the Paradox forums but got removed because it "referenced real world politics."
Sorry but they're the one using the SYMBOL from real world politics?? That has effect to this day?
Can't even appeal the decision since my account got a warning and I can't reply.
WATCH:
Australian Prime Minister Gough Whitlam directly states he was BLACKMAILED by Zionists to support Israel during the 1973 Arab-Israeli war.
Whitlam maintained a policy of strict neutrality. What happened to him? He was ousted in an Anglo-American CIA COUP in 1975.
Seppos refusing to look at any country that isn't there own...
Imagine if an Aussie tweeted "I don't really know of any anti-abortion right wingers" they'd get clowned on.
I like Andrews Leighs Side quests of explaining economics has now transformed into a history of science bit with no bearing on anything. I like it but.
Eliminating scurvy took more than empty theorising. In 1747, it was a randomised trial that cured the deadly disease. Today, our government is looking at how randomised trials can transform policy too.

Yes and we could use non rubber tires to improve efficiency, and then also connect to an overhead power infrastructure system to remove the need for a battery; We could make them bigger to support more people, then make sure they have exclusive right of way to make them faster.
"ooh Labor is unsalvagable they're too reactionary" and put efforts into the greens and their struggle to get 15% of primary vote meanwhile while Labors worse result ever is like 26%.
You wanna make change it's probably more efficient to make Labor more left than Greens in govt
Christopher Pyne is probably my most likeable member of the Liberals. So fucking funny any clip of him. I would recommend listening to him interviewing Albo in his "Pyne time" podcast.
Best example of this change in use being recent is Cronulla riots, look at flags used during riots (left) vs 10 year anniversary (right) and notice how Eureka suddenly appears.
Interaction made me chuckle:
wearing cap on bus that says "Virginia is for lovers" on it (see pic)
Kid gets on
points at my hat, says: "Vaginas? I love Vaginas."
walks off into bus
what a king
If my experience of the Federal Left faction is anything to go by, there is a non-zero chance someone in that room identifies as a Maoist; Which is very amusing.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said
@MChandlerMather
's political tactics were "Maoist" at a private dinner with the ALP's left faction earlier tonight.
A similar sentiment to what he's said in parliament about the Greens MP's
@JacobinAust
article, but the Maoist line is new ...
Dude who refuses to join the Greens not because he disagrees with them but because he could never be apart of an organisation without a highly organised and formal internal faction system
