@Patrici89225734 Get your facts right. We joined the EEC in 1973 not the EU. We were poor because of WW11 and rebuilding Europe. The EU was formed in 1993 without our consent, since when we have become poorer and our industry decimated. Since leaving we are outperforming all EU countries.

This is a lie. When the UK joined EEC its steel production was at its peak. By 2016, the year of the referendum, production was down by over 75%. Leaving the EU had no bearing on Port Talbot closure. Net Zero= Net Stupid.

@starry_velvet Not what he said really is it ?. He actually said that our current systems, lack of training places/course, taxation & benefits systems, etc has caused reliance by companies & public bodies on needing qualified migrants. It is a failure of governments since the Blair days.
