@AlpacaAurelius It's a psyop that polyester is "better" for the gym. - It's called "performance fabric" but is literally made of plastic - It's loaded with toxic chemicals (like BPA and formaldehyde) - It retains odor so they STINK after just one workout We need a natural fiber renaissance.

Living like this actually makes you fragile. Because you'll inevitably miss part of your “20 step morning routine” And feel like you can't perform. But it’s all in your head. Don’t fall victim to the cult of “optimization”

The reality is that 99% of activewear brands are FULL of plastic because millions of people LIKE the fabric. Why? Polyester can be light, soft, and stretchy. But once people learn it's actually plastic, they're normally disgusted (and want an alternative). We started Ryker

Did a deep dive on glyphosate usage and cancer rates (h/t @SeedOilDsrspctr ) Used the National Cancer Institute's "Interactive Map Tool" (Google it yourself) to get real time data. Absolutely SHOCKING overlap. Spraying crops with glyphosate will be our generation's lead paint.

People are sick and tired of wearing plastic. Once you realize, you see it everywhere. Checking the label of your favorite pair of gym shorts. Seeing 70% polyester, 30% nylon. AGAIN. NO MORE. There's no need to wear toxic plastic. A natural fibers renaissance is coming 🫡

Is it possible to buy legitimate cotton gym shorts? Every time I order “100% cotton,” it’s not. Yes I’ve googled and even made orders, only to receive something other than cotton. Any of yall found a brand?

Friendly reminder to check the label on your clothes. You see this CONSTANTLY with merino wool clothes. Literally 50%+ polyester, < 20% merino wool. They toss in it there so they can say "merino wool" But put in polyester for the insane margins. Very unfortunate.

The most disgusting part of this is their marketing funnel. > Create brain rot YouTube content that kids can't stop watching > Gradually become a "trusted source" with influence over kids > Sell them a ton of toxic ultra-processed food All from people who DON'T need the money.

It's a psyop that polyester is "better" for the gym. - It's called "performance fabric" but is literally made of plastic - It's loaded with toxic chemicals (like BPA and formaldehyde) - It retains odor so they STINK after just one workout We need a natural fiber renaissance.

Reminder that washing polyester clothes causes 35% of the microplastic pollution in oceans. We’ve spent years hearing about plastic polluting our oceans. But it’s shocking just how much of it is directly due to cheap plastic clothes. Crazy thing is you never hear about it.
