Hot take: We have to stop making tech thinner. We've reached a point where it adds no benefit other than aesthetics. It's less structurally sound, more prone to overheating, and is harder to repair by the user.

Quick tip if you experience tracking issues due to SteamVR dongles! Add this line to your steamvr.vrsettings config file, it enables individual management of your radios, so you can choose which dongle each tracker connects to!

The @FreeaimVR shoes have to be one of the most interesting VR peripherals I've ever tried. They're not perfect by any means but they're way better than a joystick or even an existing slidemill type design like a katwalk. Super cool work.

The Rift CV1 was incredible. I just put one back on today for the first time in over 5 years, and it's nuts just how much of VR Oculus had absolutely nailed down that we still don't, even today. The controllers, comfort, and tracking are incredible, the UX is acceptable. (1/2)

Just tried this thing. I think this’ll be cool for enterprise, but gamers probably won’t like it. The FOV is low for a VR HMD at about 80 - 85 degrees in my experience. The controllers are very unique and I actually really like them. Clarity is great, but comfort and FOV aren’t.

@rayne_vr Nothing supports HDR, Adaptive Triggers, or headset feedback on PCVR. SteamVR doesn't support it. Haptic feedback still exists, controllers still have haptic feedback. Eye Tracking also isn't supported on SteamVR, and PSVR is all about user experience. It's an understandable move

I really disagree with Boz saying 120hz is enough for future headsets. He cites performance as the reason not to go higher, but we already have a solution for this. Running 120 -> 240hz via reprojection has much higher motion clarity than 120, with roughly the same performance.

I've been using various versions of this for the past 8 months! It's been a great replacement for my Valve Index audio, albeit with slightly quieter bass. It's also the first hard strap I've found comfy to sleep in, so that's a plus for all my VRChat homies. Highly recommend :)

@ASychov @Lunayian @boztank Artur, imagine being at Meta pitching "let's go out of our way to pay Luna, who leaks our internal things, to promote us" Think about it, how does that make sense? I know you hate Meta, but that shouldn't extend to slandering unrelated people. This is very immature, shame on you.

@AntonHand I really actually love your approach to a first person shooter, while I personally don't mind human targets, I totally get why you wouldn't want them, I'm super happy you're keeping it that way, I don't really feel a need to shoot people specifically. Hotdogs are great too.
