My best friend of 22 years, Adam, is in surgery right now having a tumor removed from his brain stem. I talked to him yesterday, and from his hilarity and poise was reminded of why we've been friends so long. Here's a pic of him being cheap and using my grad gown to graduate '09.

Got coffee today and an elderly man started having a violent seizure outside. After I got him stable, he told me not to call EMS, and I almost didn't. But then I realized he also had had a stroke. Never take the chance -- call an ambulance. @Starbucks staff was on point as well.

When your family member is on a ventilator for covid, you can't visit them, and you wait for an update call once a day to see if they're getting better. For 23hrs and 50mins you get to sit in the dark and worry about if they're going to die. Wear a mask. Take this seriously.
