#PonniyinSelvan2 is an absolute masterpiece. It's cinematic poetry that focuses on drama driven by emotion. Mani Ratnam does what Kubrick did with Stephen King's Shining - deviates from the source, and yet delivers something that will stand the test of times.

2024 has been a great year for South Indian cinema & especially an amazing start for malayalam cinema. We are still in feb and there are superhits in Malaikottai Valiban, Ozler and blockbusters in Anweshippin kandethum, Premalu, Bramayugam, and now Manjummel boys. (1/n)

@STUPIDREACTIONS Kamal Haasan. Reason: filmmakers right from Anurag Kashyap in Hindi to Mahesh Narayanan in Kerala, SSR in Telugu, and so many numerous directors in Tamil, and actors - are inspired by him, his films and took up acting to enter the field with a vision to make it better.

Living dangerously is the book which started the Kolar gold rush. That’s also the book which prompted @beemji to make #Thangalaan . It is also something that equally applies to Ranjith himself. Definitely not one to play it safe. What a terrific first half.
