2/On Oct 8th, Waterford's Jerry Fischer called me with the news that his cousin, Liat Beinin Atzili, had been taken hostage by Hamas. My office worked closely with Jerry to ensure her safe release. After over 50 days in captivity, Liat returned home during the November ceasefire.

In response to a request from North Carolina seeking additional assistance with Helene recovery, we are sending a second @CTNationalGuard team to help. This includes another CH-47 Chinook helicopter, a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter, and a 16-member aircrew. Thanks to these soldiers!
