Race directors-No hurdles should be on the track in any lane (except maybe lane 9) during the 1600m/Mile. I’m watching videos of races where they only give athletes racing the 1600m four lanes to finish. Close races always swing wide and athletes deserve the proper room to pass!

I’d make the argument that the system @RealSeanBrosnan put in place for Nico at NP led to a smoother transition in college. Some stars often have to adapt to new mileage, conditions — my gut feeling is that Nico just rolled with it.

High school track needs an overhaul. It’s ridiculous that coaches are expected to work events at track meet. Name another sport where coaches work/officiate. Can’t coach a relay when I’m holding a tape measure at LJ.

Great day in Seattle for the Newbury Park crew! Three freshman running: 4:30, 4:39 and 2:04 for the mile and 800m. Soph boys running: 4:29, 4:43 and a Junior running 4:20 for the full mile. The girls frosh and soph went 2:19 and 2:31 in the 800m. @NPHSAthletic @AschbrennerJace
