Doctor Sahab, don't get offended but there are quite a few such quotes of Dr BR Ambedkar in praise of the British; even advocating that the British don't leave India. I dislike Gandhi and Pandit Nehru but they have been beaten far too often now. Time to scrutinise other 'greats'.

@kdr_1509 Hindavi Swarajya is a good book written by Gandhi. Gandhi's intervention during Poona Pact also was one of the brightest moments of Gandhi's life. The only mildly positive thing about Dr Br Ambedkar from a Hindu interests pov was his criticism of Islam.

The constitution doesn't operate on guilt anyways. Reservations are not corrections of historical wrongs where Savarnas have to pay for their ancestors' wrongs. It's simply about bringing backward classes into the mainstream. STs remaining backward is not due to Savarnas anyways.

Hierarchy and hereditary nature developed after Vedic society transitioned from pastoral to agrarian. The first mention of the Varna system appears in the 10th Mandala of the Rig Veda (later Rig Vedic period), and even then, it was a mere description and not based on birth.
