It then talks about your character’s alignment and personality ** all before you’ve actually chosen a race or class **. It is teaches the idea of building a character concept that has nothing to do with the numbers on the sheet. It’s an astoundingly awesome introduction to D&D.

@roguecaliber This has been largely debunked. The Aztecs did sacrifice people, but there is no evidence of any mass graves at the site to match the description, and it would have taken them a month or more to come even close to that number. They would have had to kill someone every 4 seconds.

@EposVox @DonnelVillager This right here. People are conflating ethical use of AI vs unethical use of AI. Unethical use is creating art from stolen assets of other artists. Ethical use is training machine learning on your own animation work to fill in the “in between” frames. That is the RIGHT WAY.

#dnd hot take: The D&D economy is so f’d up, gold has lost all meaning as a reward. Recent adventures are so rife with treasure most PCs could retire and live like kings by 3rd level. I don’t know exactly when this happened, but I suspect somewhere around 3.x.

To be clear, I know 4e has its issues including slower combat due to hit point and AC inflation. But if you were consistently having muti-session combats, that was *not* the mechanics. The DM bears some responsibility in corralling slow-ass decision making players.

@BDaveWalters D&D is the ultimate violent power fantasy that would be *zero* fun if any parts of it were real. Blood, gore, Wild West style lawlessness… We *think* it would be cool to live in such a world, but it would actually suck horribly.
