Why have people stopped dressing appropriately for major events? Two funerals this week & nary a modest &black/dark outfit to be seen outside of myself, my children & maybe 5 other people. Folks in jeans, bright colored clothes, casual clothes too... not even business casual.

Please do not drive drunk. My cousin's 26yo daughter drove drunk last night. She went the wrong way on the freeway and hit a semi head on and died. My cousin also drove home drunk last night on his own. He woke today to his daughter pronounced dead. Lord have mercy.

Unfortunately, the CAT scan revealed that the cancer is too aggressive, to the point where she has more cancer cells than healthy cells in her gut. We are in the last weeks. Still hopeful for a miracle, and we are asking everyone to pray for a full remission of all cancer.

If you're Catholic &feel the need to take your tree down& put away Christmas decor before even the 12 days pass... it's OK. You don't have to leave it up. Sometimes the bandwidth just isn't there& it's OK. Decor isnt required. Don't feed the pressures of social media.

Well fun morning here... Our 4yo Cecilia ate a single bite of a cashew Lara Bar and her whole body started itching and swelling. Worst reaction she's ever had to a food ever. Three benadryl doses for her weight later and she's coming out of it. Keep her in prayer please.

Father Altier's homily was easily 30 minutes today. He apologized ahead of time. It was excellent. He spoke with regard to St. Joseph the Worker and how society is soft and unwilling to do the harder things. He laid a challenge to parents to make their children do harder things.

Prayers for my 6yo Henri. He has a last repair visit to the dentist today. In September he had two breakthrough seizures that resulted in cracked teeth, which after not being able to schedule the dentist bc of restrictions, grew cavities. He has fillings to get today.
