As a ctte member before the election I can confirm that the new ctte does not have to be formed to publish the report-anything else is complete twaddle-indeed there are few members from the old ctte left in parliament-it just needs the pm to say publish & it will be done so do it
So personal news tonight - I’ve been asked by the PM to go to work in the home office as minister of state from the House of Lords
There are immense challenges but Im looking forward to being of service to the country and labour govt in that role

Thanks for all the support in Delyn at this election - I’m thankful for the privilege of serving the Constituency and its people for the time I have - I’m sorry I couldn’t win again this time - I have a fantastic local party in
@delynclp
and I wish them every success
I say welcome 👇- look I’ve been a Labour Party member for 45 years , but if johns political journey has brought him now to see the Labour Party as the way to social justice ,then that’s a good thing that should be welcomed whatever his political history.

I’ve shadowed David Gauke,had him challenge me when I was a minister,scrutinised him in ctte in his role as justice secretary-he is & has been a loyal conservative-one vote on a matter of principle & purged -says more about current pm than it ever does about
@davidgauke
Just received a text to say that my Association Chairman has been told that I am no longer a member of the Conservative Party. First I’d heard of that.
Not even a member of the Conservative Party?
I finally have something in common with Dominic Cummings.
My mum ,Glenda Hanson , died on Christmas morning, 5 days short of her 88 th birthday . She was loved by my sister Helen , myself and by all her grandchildren and great grandchildren and family. Mum was married to Brian for 52 years before his death in 2007 .
I’m in north wales today but my name is on the

- a no deal brexit is a disaster & those on this declaration will not support the pm in shutting down parliament to force it through - exactly in line with my arguments & mandate secured in the 2017 election

Not sure Johnson is very good at this ( and much else )

spot on- I was a member of the ctte- we agreed the report over a year ago, sent it to the security services for fact checking & then to the pm who sat on it.The report can only be produced when a new ctte is formed- the ctte last met in October a new one should be appointed now
It is deeply worrying that the Government is preventing the Intelligence and Security Committee from doing its vital work. It must be allowed to publish the delayed Russia report and get on with its important role overseeing UK intelligence. My comments👇🏼

Thanks to everyone who came today to share the commemoration of our mums life - a difficult day for us all, but one which celebrated a life which was full of love for her family ,hard work and service to her community. A life well lived.

European Arrest warrant and Europol ( the policing agency ) for starters - give her due as a former Home Secretary and Pm she will know when nonsense on security is being spouted by Michael Gove 👇and trust me ( as a former security minister ) it is
Theresa May says 'Whaaaat?' as
@michaelgove
suggests to her that the UK security cooperation with the EU will be 'better' under Brexit, deal or no deal.
I don’t recall Mrs Thatcher or John Major mentioning the environment when closing mines in the 1980s or 90s
And I can’t recall a word from Johnson when he fought a N Wales seat at the time of closures in the mid 90s.
It wasn’t a joke & hit communities hard
