can confirm that an off-duty police officer has sadly died following an incident involving a jet-ski off the coast of Pwllheli this afternoon (Saturday, August 15th).
Shortly after 4:30pm the alarm was raised that a man had fallen from the jet-ski and was in the water

Richard tragically died on this day in 2006, aged 46, in a road accident while on duty travelling from Wrexham to Colwyn Bay when his unmarked police motorcycle crashed on the A5 at Cerrigydrudion.

UPDATE: Further to our message this morning regarding an incident in which a man was arrested for spitting at an officer, Stephen Budski, 44 of Llanfrothen has been jailed for 18 weeks at Magistrates in Mold for assaulting an emergency worker.
A huge 'THANK YOU' to 9-year-old, Oliver Heap of Ysgol Cynfran, Colwyn Bay, who sent a letter to us this week thanking all the police for "staying open during lockdown to keep our community safe".
