So a police officer in the City of Rochester, putting their life on the line, makes $20,000 less on day 1 then the PAB Director of Case Management who has no cases to manage?
One of our members just met this young gentleman. He explained that he wants to be a cop when he is older and ran inside to put on his gear. We hope to see him apply when he is old enough.
Our membership appreciates all of the citizens who have reached out to ask if the officers shot at by a homicide suspect today are doing ok. We are thankful for the continued support from the community during a very violent year.
Had the decision to violate the State Law to gather been made by one of our police members they would have been:
- Suspended
- Vilified by the Mayor in the Press
- Given a sham hearing
- And then fired
Why are those in charge not held accountable??
PAB Director Conor Dwyer Reynolds with PAB Board members Wilson and Setel at Stanley Martin’s watch party. How can they ever claim to be fair and unbiased when they celebrate with the “abolish police” candidate as they chant “F**k the police!”
This is incredibly sad and really hits home when we had two very close calls here this week with attempts to kill our officers. We pray for our brothers and sisters in NYC and for law enforcement everywhere.
🚨 OFFICERS DOWN: Please pray for the families of the two NYPD officers shot and killed in Harlem this evening. These two heroes were killed while responding to a domestic violence call, according to media reports.
Stop shooting and killing our officers!
#EnoughIsEnough
Frustrations to the breaking point today. No plan from department or City Hall to address city violence or officer safety and staffing concerns. Another day dealing with incompetent people in supposed leadership roles.
How many homicides and shootings have been prevented by RPD officers taking 124 handguns and 51 long guns off our streets so far in 2021? Each one of those guns could have caused multiple murders. 175 guns seized in 105 days.
If City council and the Mayor spent less time criticizing us and more time supporting us they could help us make the community safer ! We don’t need their words of concern or sympathy - we need their support!
Unbelievable! Mayor continually throws everyone else under the bus. This time it's all of law enforcement throughout the entire state, the Monroe County DA, the out of area judge, and even her husbands attorney who asked for the 30 day delay. Where is her accountability?!
By the way, it was the lawyer for Tim Granison who asked for a 30-day break before the hearing because he has a trial out of state. Is he also part of the political plot to set the court date?
Amazing man, husband, and father - and we are proud to call him Brother. God bless you Denny and your family, you’re strength gives us strength. Love you Brother.
Tonight, an exclusive interview with
@RochesterNYPD
's Denny Wright, who lost sight in both eyes in a knife attack on Peck St. Parts will air on
@News_8
at 5, 6 and 11 pm.
My first question: All things considered, how are you? Wright:
PAB hires

(1) DC of Public Information
$72,443-$95,519
(1) DC of Accountability Inspection
$72,443-$95,519
RPD officer
$46,096-$80,495
Strong message sent to all of our members who have been almost 3 years without a contract.
This is a Police Accountability Board laptop. Hopefully they will once again investigate themselves for mishandling confidential information and after a fair and unbiased investigation, apply their disciplinary matrix to the staff member who committed this misconduct.
Someone from the Rochester PAB left there laptop outside. I don’t see a persons name and the building is closed. The laptop will be in my custody until someone contacts me. Even though I’m not a big fan of the PAB.
RPD has 12 Investigators assigned to conduct ROC's murder investigations. City Council voted to give the PAB $5,000,000.00 to hire 50 people to investigate the police.
Officers DeMarco, Mandurano, and Barnes were recognized for the

First Responder Spotlight today for their heroic efforts during a fire on Hague St.
Rochester City Councilman Willie Lightfoot’s barbershop is one block from where this happened. He was at the scene and had this to say...

Mary Lupien said, “Firework is something that goes off in the sky, what was thrown was a sparkling device - it didn’t pose a threat”
@marylupienroc
, you’re right!! If you look real closely between the cops legs you can see the little 6 year old holding the sparkler!!
Just happened on Lake Ave heading northbound. Guy on first dirt bike entered intersection on the red light and stopped traffic. Caused 2 cars traveling eastbound on ridge to rear ended and one of the bikes almost got wiped out
Heartfelt and moving speech from our Brother Denny as he accepts the Purple Heart and Medal of Valor and thanks his fellow officers and civilians who came to his aid.
How does the Department not put out a statement about an officer attacked and fighting alone in a backyard for 7 minutes? Questions should be directed to the Chief. We have had over 100 on duty injuries in the last 10 months - the public should be made aware of these incidents.
Where is the Mayor? Deputy Mayor? Police Chief? Deputy Police Chief?
Council or President Loretta Scott !!
Stop blaming cops, start finding real solutions!!
UPDATE: Police say there was a large unsanctioned party inside a building on Driving Park Avenue. A group was hanging out in an alley when an unknown suspect or suspects approached the alley and began firing.
Our Brother Denny Wright recognized by
@GreeceOlympia
at the Girl’s Varsity Basketball game and 1st Responders Night. There was also a moment of silence for Brother Manny Ortiz. Great show of support for all 1st responders, thank you!
We are the only ones handling mental crisis calls - the PIC team refused to even speak with this woman. Failing to understand the real issues and refusing to meet with Locust Club and our members proves your motivation is only for political self interest.
Another mental health crisis where our system was not set up to meet the needs of our community. I have worked to transform crisis response and build up our mental health workforce; now we must pass
#DanielsLaw
so we can stop seeing headlines like these.
@BobLonsberry
This is not true at all. The first broadcast that anyone needed help was responded to in 3 minutes. Officers did not ignore any requests for help and responded immediately after the very first dispatched call for assistance.
22 years have passed since 9/11/01 but we still think of our Brother and Sister heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice as 1st responders. Our thoughts are with them and all of those we lost that day.
We cannot thank these guys enough!!
@IronSmoke
donated 600 bottles-almost 80 gallons of hand sanitizer!! This is much needed by our officers. They partnered with
@RMCSolution
for packaging and both companies have come through huge for our members and the community
List of what police NEED: 30,000 Nitrile gloves - $3,600
6,000 N95 face masks - $12,000
90,000 disinfectant wipes - $3,300
20,000 2oz sanitizers - $28,000
Total = $46,900
List of what police will HAVE: 1 Director of PAB - $72,491 - $95,582
Great proactive work by a Clinton Section officer tonight! He noticed an open door on a vacant house and called officers to help him search. No one was located inside but this handgun with extended magazines was found. This gun could have been used to hurt or kill many people.
We lost an entire year to be proactive on crime with Herriott-Sullivan as a placeholder Chief. There were no initiatives, no support, and no leadership. She did absolutely nothing for the community or department as violence increased and officers left.
Ask Herriott to stand next to us and answer questions. Ask her why she had the results since last April. Ask why she repeatedly said she would make the decision - now it is the conflict attorney’s decision? Ask her why she will lie for a corrupt mayor!
@RochesterNYPD
Our job today was to ensure everyone was safe in their right to protest. No one was attacked, intimidated, or silenced by any police officer. The silencing of peaceful protestors today was done by those who saw violence and looting as the answer!
@rachbarnhart
You said “they are not the answer to preventing more crime.” You give no credit to the prevention police already do and the lives saved. We need solutions where politicians do more then just blame police and instead support them. 175 guns in 105 days - let that sink in.
Amazing courage and dedication shown today by our officers. Their brave and purposeful actions prevented further loss of life. These men and women put themselves between innocent citizens and dangerous criminals everyday without hesitation. We pray for all involved.
NEW: Mount Morris Police arrested 36-year old Badri Ahmed-Mohamed of Canada for the illegal possession of 58 pistols. They pulled him over during a traffic stop and believe the firearms were being trafficked across the country to an undetermined location.

Many thanks to the American Legion Greece Post 468 for honoring or Brother Denny Wright and one of his guardian angels, Ramique Hill at their 9th Annual Warrior Benefit Concert today.

Press releases from our elected officials should be factual - not assumptions! But in the world of politics the

didn’t expect anything factual from

A politician legislating from a narrow point of view!

Officer Ryan Castrichini has developed a great relationship with 5 year old Mateo and recently purchased and applied our patches to his official police uniform. Great work!
Today we honor and celebrate the brave men and women who have served in the U.S Armed Forces. A special thank you to our members who have served and continue to serve. We are all incredibly grateful for your commitment to this nation.
Where is the “detailed information” the Chief said would come months ago?? The lack of transparency and leadership in this Administration is appalling. They have sat on the internal for over 90 days now!
What happened to transparency? PAB opens meeting and goes right into a private executive session for the entire meeting. No public minutes and no public viewing.
The 2nd officer shot during the traffic stop in Chicago where Officer French lost her life is in critical condition. Please pray for his recovery and his family and coworkers.
The other officer shot in the head last night in West Englewood. 3 gun shot wounds. One exited eye (lost one eye), one in the shoulder, one lodged in the back of the head. He's hanging on. Say a prayer.
Manhattan Sq Dr - 4 people shot right in the middle of what will no longer be Central Section.

@RochesterNYPD
this plan makes no sense and takes vital resources away from an area that obviously needs them.

Police officers risk their lives every night in this city. The PAB admits they are not trained, blames everyone for their shortcomings and has no transparency to speak of...Glad they have everyone’s support!

Locust Club members helped move a reclining power chair from the Isaiah House Hospice to a City man in home hospice care. Many thanks to members Ofc. Hollenbeck and Ofc. Gulla for their assistance and the Isaiah House for their generosity.
Here is tonight’s Council Agenda - No legislation at all this month under “Public Safety Committee”
With unprecedented violence in the City and incredible shortages of police, what is Council doing to address these problems?
Wishing the best for a speedy recovery to our brother firefighters. It has been a dangerous week for 1st responders where training and luck played a big role.
@IAFF1071
@RFDPIO1
Clearly we need both - get more police AND more resources. You have not helped put anything in place to assist this City and you routinely vote AGAINST grant money from NYS! Those are resources that can help this community and support police initiatives.

Unfortunately our members retiring are doing so at a time where we can’t get together and celebrate their careers. Today President Mazzeo presented 3 recent retirees with their retirement gifts. Thank you for your service Officers David Smith, Dave Lyons, and Antonio Jorge.
The PAB has canceled tonight's Board meeting. Several members are ill and unable to attend. We will be rescheduling to a new date this month and will post that information as soon as it is available.
Cannot thank Lisa Swisher from Sew Creative enough!! 200 beautiful handmade masks. I am sure the donut ones will be worn with the most pride. Thank you so much!
