In 2012 this kid from Endeavour was picked in the Aussie Schoolboys side. Fast forward 2 years & he’d won an NRL Premiership and scored 21 try’s in his debut season. Fast Forward 10 more years & he’s just 25 try’s off breaking Ken Irvine’s all time try scoring record. AJ🐰

We said from the start of last year that we love Walsh because he has an ‘all in’ mentality. Errors don’t rattle him, he can make 9 and not be afraid to make a tenth. His mindset is special. After the intercept, his next three touches were a spectacular catch, a TA and a LBA.

Some pretty wild ref calls in that one, no denying that. Penrith had plenty of opportunities that they let slip though. First game of the year, Penrith should be rusty and they were. Conceded two try’s down the left with new combos in defence. Still the NRL team to beat.

Tough night at the office for Chevy Stewart, there will be plenty more like this, it’s the NRL. It’s fuckin hard for youngens. What I loved though was that Chevy kept going at the game, most guys would’ve folded like origami. He just keep trying & refused to go into his shell.

If Critta scores a try next week, it will be his fourth consecutive grand final with a try. The first man to do it since Johnny King in the 1960’s. King managed to score a try in 6 consecutive Grand Finals. Worth noting that the GF will be Critta’s 100th first grade game.

Craig Fitzgibbon was out here living every forwards dream in 2002. Later this season he would play in his third grand final in four years, win his first and only premiership, collect the Clive Churchill Medal and make his debut for the Kangaroos. Tough as nails Fitzy was.
