Today marks 55 years since the Rolling Stones first performed on Eel Pie Island in Twickenham, tonight they return for a special local celebration. The RFU recently gave £10k to help establish the new Eel Pie Island Museum to celebrate our local music heritage. Well worth a visit

Yesterday the Prime Minister Theresa May visited Twickenham Stadium with Japanese PM Shinzō Abe, who was introduced to pupils from our neighbour @ChaseBridge1953 Mr Abe presented a ball to the children ahead of the @rugbyworldcup in Japan this autumn.

Please be aware that from next week, Whitton Road outside the stadium will have double yellow lines, as recent parking there has caused an obstruction for buses, cars and bikes. Stadium visitors should use official RFU car parks. Thanks to @LBRUT for their swift action

On Sunday 25th October, England will play Barbarians at Twickenham. This will be behind closed doors with no spectators: the stadium will be closed to visitors. There will therefore be no road closures or crowds on Sunday.

This year we awarded Bishop Perrin School a grant to install solar panels, which will cut their electricity bills, generate power to sell back to the grid over the summer and save tons of CO2. Its also a great way to teach kids about the environment. Well done to everyone at BP!
