Our absolute mad lad of an engineer SampleName has confirmed that Positron can print ABS. Specifically, ABS-GF. He did modify to have a PCB bed with insulation, but the Hotend is a LDO kit Hotend. We advise against Abrasives, but we have some absolute insane engineers.

I just spent all night designing an extremely low profile magnetic mount for probes, because we have about 2mm of clearance in this area. But this area is also where we could make a probe dock, so I thought; why not!? Files on our GitHub, enjoy!

Nonplanar printing on nonplanar printed „printbed“: First I nonplanar printed a wavy part with PETG. Then I changed to PLA and printed nonplanar on it. So the resulting wavy part is nonplanar on both sides. 1/x

We were watching @MandicReally stream his Milo build, and they made a comment about helpful printed tools being helpful for assembly. So we decided to print some tools that would be helpful during the Positron Assembly! We designed a WirePick and a BeltClamp.

It took us a bit, but we got it working the way we wanted it to. Right now it uses a cable to connect to the MCU, but it could use the magnets as connectors in the future.

The only email we ever got was them asking about the BOM for the V3 back in March 2023. There was no follow up, no offer of support, nothing. As we move closer to releasing the V3.2, we urge anyone who wants to build a positron to wait for official LDO kits, or look at remixes.

Thanks to @Prusa3D , I was able to fix a bit of wobble I had on my Positron. This little tool is included in all Positron kits (or, one like it), but as a unit built from the early beta, I didn't have it just yet. So my idlers were a little loose. NO MORE LOOSE IDLERS!

We've heard the feedback. As of April 1st, we will be righting the Positron, no more of this upside down hoo-ha. Our hubris was too grand, and we flew too close to the sun. All kits will include Bungie cords to hang your Positrons the right way up. Gravity cannot be defied.
