@Dr_Done_ It’s not official and there’s no point spreading text messages across platforms. There’s absolutely no mention of whether this PAs Gp named supervisor involvement, which rings my alarm bells. There’s more to this then a pa simply ignoring everything in front of him/her.

If PAs are so unsafe and UNQUALIFIED, then by your mental reasoning QUALIFIED staff should never harm a patient? INEVITABLE you say? I’m sorry but the statistics speak for themselves. Look at the mortality rates of junior doctor changeover in August.

Perhaps we should start naming and shaming the doctors and experienced clinicians in the UK and elsewhere in this same manner? There are plenty of qualified doctors - junior level right up to senior consultants who have killed patients. We could start going through the GMC list?

@o_ilir @gem1509 So where does it say the PA took an incorrect history in the coroner’s report? I didn’t read that. Also, it’s not exactly unusual in the nhs to scapegoat the less senior staff. And I can bring up many examples of this, such as Dr Hadiza Bawa-Garba who appealed and won.

@Z_ReX77 @dward1881 @gem1509 I disagree. How can they locum when they have been stripped of their PAMVR number? No NHS trust or Gp would take a PA on without their voluntary registration number. Although, it has ‘voluntary’ it isn’t voluntary because without this unique number you cannot practice as a PA.

@TomStocks1982 @timcs1968 @gem1509 Because PA’s are taught medical law and ethics as part of their masters degree.
