FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
"We the University of Alabama Debate Team wish to distance ourselves from Coach Saban's comments. We do not, under any circumstances, 'talk shit' about anyone, unless it's those bastards from Northwestern, who may kiss our whole asses."

I leash my dog and tell him it's time for walkies. I turn and walk forward. The leash jerks. I look back. Headless cake.
As a kid, I always said that if I became a teacher I'd play Age of Empires someday with my students. Today, I fired up Age of Empires 4 and went through most of the Norman campaign with my upper schoolers, and they loved it. Over the moon right now

I had a dream last night that
@ZODIAC_MF
hosted SNL. He came out in his full get-up, did the monologue, and then left because “this show sucks.” 😂 A+ dream
I’d never heard of Sparks until
@edgarwright
announced he was making a documentary about them. Four tracks into the Spotify canon and I can see why he thought they deserved a movie. These dudes are bop city.

“Hey everybody, Pat pooped his pants in the cafeteria.”
[Pat provides evidence that he did not, in fact, poop his pants in the cafeteria]
“It’s just a shame that Pat has chosen to continue with his pants pooping ways.”
Sit a lot?
Look at screens a lot?
Here is 1 simple drill you can do in your office, in your car, anywhere to help counteract the rounding spine and shoulders and forward lean of the neck that are far too common in modern populations
Best single punch in film history?
The rule is, just one closed-fist punch. It can be part of a larger chain of attacks or punches, but it’s one singular, memorable punch.

I was 13 and homeschooled that year. My mom got home from taking my sisters to school, woke me up and said, "Turn on the TV." Second plane hit a couple minutes later.
Obviously, I am sad to see the end of this era, but he really could not have picked a better time to go. He’s built a program that’s capable of making the playoffs every year without him, and Dabo has never been more unattractive.
In your charity, please pray for the reposed Subdeacon Innocent. I was this boy’s age when I first met him, and he never retired from altar service. He would chide me for saying this, but he was one of the most faithful men I’ve ever known. Memory eternal.
Good morning! Funny thing happened this week: I reviewed Bill Burr's new special on my blog, and the next morning I woke up to a request from
@FDRLST
asking if they could publish it. Here ya go:
This is the face of a man who thought he could fly under the radar during Book Character Day as "George Washington" or something, only to arrive and have all the kids congratulate him on his Beauty and the Beast outfit 🤦♂️
@michaelbd
My ancestors were Vikings too and, uh, the things they did to qualify as multicultural and multiracial are... Ehm... What books is this person reading?
SOME PERSONAL NEWS:
After 10 wonderful years, this will be my last year teaching at RCS...
Because next year will be my first as its new Director of Institutional Development. Tempus ferre scholam ad Luna 😎

By the way, classical educators, our work means very little if we send our charges to the wrong colleges. Mainstream academic culture is overwhelming. I came out of it severely diminished and near aimless and I was one of the lucky ones.
A Christian school is not a place you send your children to so that they can escape sin or the world. No such place exists on earth. A Christian school is a place you send your children to so that they can learn how to repent and how to forgive.
The thing that’s hilarious about Moore and Lindelof’s attempts to un-rehabilitate Rorschach is that he’s utterly fearless and indefatigable. They can’t see that those virtues transcend all the reasons they don’t want you to like him.
I will be taking this account private later today. Some *potential* life changes *may be* on the horizon in the next few months, and if so, I think it's prudent to circle the wagons a bit. In the meantime, I'd appreciate your prayers and ineffectual secular well wishes.
Things my Dad has said on this trip: a thread.
“Son, there are only two working toilets in this house. Let me explain their competing philosophies to you.”
I don’t usually geek out over leadership stuff, but Saban saying, “Does it get you your job back?,” a tacit acknowledgement that Lane is better than being just a coordinator, is so powerful and weighty. No wonder Lane still loves him.
We are finally settled at home. Everything is good. Thank you all for your prayers, everything went about as well as we could have hoped. I now retire to sleep the sleep of the Old Ones for about… 90 minutes.
Thinking about this one time I was in an impromptu rib eating contest and the judge made fun of me for going to slow and my dad shouted “Don’t listen to him son, it’s a free rib!”

This is how AI is REVOLUTIONIZING education.
