The Pietà (English: "The Pity"), circa 1498–1499, is a work of Renaissance sculpture by Michelangelo Buonarroti. It is housed in St. Peter's Basilica, Vatican City. Pictures do not do it justice. To this day I vividly remember seeing it in person in July 1989. What a blessing!

The Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood is a former Russian Orthodox church in Saint Petersburg, Russia. It has not been reconsecrated since the 1970-1997 restorations & is not used full-time for worship. It currently functions as a secular museum.
