Despite the result I had a great time. That view of Belfast from the family stand 😍 also Bobby Burns is some player. Scarf bought and Il 100% be making regular trips to the oval.

I fondly remember losing my job due to the last lockdown in December 2021 for the omicron variant even though South Africa were howling that it was a milder variant, hours in my job got slashed, led a big part in me moving to Belfast, business has suffered under this government.
@richardtgarland
Michael D Higgins has got an incredibly easy time with the media in the Republic for years. It would be nice to see this disaster properly called out. Anglophobia has become more acceptable down here due to brexit and it’s a shame
@SuzyJourno
A list of all the effects of the actions of those protestors that day. Among those, someone not making their cancer appointment. Suzanne doesn’t mention that. Think it’s time to cancel my BelTel subscription because Suzanne comes across as more of an activist than anything.
So all of a sudden Irish presenters think it’s acceptable to send refugees back to countries such as the UK but if we follow that logic shouldn’t the UK be well within their rights to send refugees back to France since they have passed through there?
"If they are somehow our refugees, they are French refugees, can we send them back to France via the EU-member, the Republic?"
Christopher Montgomery of The Critic on the British-Irish controversy around asylum applicants crossing the NI border.
Went to the East Belfast Battle of the Somme remembrance parade tonight. My great grand uncle fought in the Somme. He was one of the over 400,000 Australians who enlisted in the First World War. It was Australias costliest conflict as around 60,000 never came home.
Always remember, if Iran/Hezbollah/Houthis/Hamas/Islamic Jihad gave up their weapons tomorrow there would be peace, if Israel gave up their weapons tomorrow there would be no Israel. Never has a country faced such aggression from multiple countries.
‘A grifter’ the label attached to a woman who was violently raped by a Provo when she was a teenager which was then covered up while he went on to rape others. Sinn Fein is a toxic cult.
How can anyone take this grifter serious? Constantly involved in personally attacking others on social media. A former member of RNU, an anti-peace process, anti-policing dissident republican group who has made a living attacking her own community. And yet this?
@NextIrishGE
@Niko_Kaw
people are generally happy are they ? How do you explain this ? The reality is people have done the right thing, gone to college and got a degree but can’t buy a house. Dead money being wasted on rent. When your a partner in Matheson you still won’t be able to buy
Congratulations on your resounding victory in East Belfast
@GRobinsonDUP
Whilst there will be talk of “split Unionist votes” elsewhere, thousands of Ulster Unionist voters made a tactical decision to send you back to Westminister this morning.
I’m sure that we will all
@JoelKeysNI
In Limerick in the Republic there was a massive problem with local crime gangs for years leading to the place being dubbed stab city. Zero tolerance policing was adopted along with heavy police presences which helped dismantle the main McCarthy Dundon gang. Limerick is great now

Culture of hard work and entrepreneurship that gets choked in an economy controlled by the Democrats. Also a lot of Hispanics take their faiths seriously and tend to be more socially conservative.

As a non drinker when did going for a pint become “irrational exuberance” do you just want people to stay home locked in a dark room for the rest of time ?
@JamieBrysonCPNI
Theres a lesson here for unionism in general, listening to the Jamie Brysons who insist on no power sharing has led to the highest nationalist turnout potentially ever.
@JonBurrowsNI
I’m from Galway and relocated to Belfast. Main reasons were the High Taxes down south/Universal Social Charge and the cost of Accommodation.

Your insistence of no power sharing and no stormont has resulted in a record Nationalist vote turn out. Your the biggest gift nationalism has ever got.

The survey was of 800 people while we also had a lucid talk survey which showed only 39% would vote for a United Ireland tomorrow? How exactly has the conditions been met ?
Nine in 10 unionists reject DUP founding member’s belief that Irish unity ‘inevitable’
Interesting that the most hardline unionist group to reject this are 18-24s with 96% disagreeing with Wallace Thompson.
Now that the fighting over the WF is essentially over, this appears to be the BBC’s next divisive agenda setting subject. Another good reason to not listen.
One of the signatories was once head of the Law School for my final year in University of Galway. Despite, the fact there is Chinese and Saudi Arabian investment in the college they pick on Israel. I won’t be sending my kids there after this.
@JamieBrysonCPNI
You do realise Trump has just been indicted for taking classified information regarding nukes and bringing it to his home in Florida ? What is wrong with you. Oh and in case you didn’t notice Boris sold unionism out the first chance he got. They are no friends to unionism
@OHanlonEilis
@GodzillawasC
Constitutionally it indicates that Unionism boycotting stormont makes more nationalists who are on the fence about unity more solidly pro unity. This is judging by the increased support for Sinn Fein. If unionism doesn’t learn from this things could get a lot worse down the line
@ItisDiane
This is what I don’t get, they say they are at war, they shoot a man in the back in front of his kids and than cry over one of their doors being ripped off? What do they expect to happen?
@OHanlonEilis
@GodzillawasC
Yes in the locals, which shows that Unionisms strategy since the last election hasn’t worked as it has not Galvonised the Unionist electorate.
@OHanlonEilis
@GodzillawasC
Despite the low unionist turnout the percentage vote share of nationalism is well up and seems like it will be the highest nationalist vote ever.

I moved to Northern Ireland from the Republic and absolutely love it up here. I can’t see myself ever living in the Republic again.
Straight out of the Kremlin propaganda play book. Praise God for King Charles who acts like a symbolic head of state should act. Very little people know how much of a left wing lunatic this man actually is. People seem to fawn over him because he’s small and writes poetry.
I had the opportunity to ask President Michael D Higgins a question I had been wanting to put to him for a long time: “In relation to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, do you see Russia as a colonial power?”
My piece about this question and his response:

Actually no, the research paper from the university of Liverpool specifically says it is down 5% since their last poll in June of this year. Take it up with the University of Liverpool not me, I’m just quoting what they wrote.
Ah yes I remember when I studied Law being taught that when a rape offence is committed you have to take into account the historical and political circumstances surrounding it 😂 stick to making shite videos
@JamieBrysonCPNI
So the TUV and DUP vote hasn’t grown at all in Larne where these constituents in theory would be most effected by the “Irish Sea Border”. Conclusion is the Windsor Framework has alleviated these fears and the Unionist electorate isn’t that bothered.
@NedoSullivan2
@aoifegracemoore
Hey Ned, just to let you know I did two college degrees and 8 solicitor exams but still had to move to Belfast to get reasonably priced accommodation. Get back to work and fix this housing crisis and you’ll see Fianna Fáil improve in the polls instead of Red C being in the RA
Il never not be bamboozled by socialists mourning the death of someone who’s worth was 4 Billion and living away from the poverty stricken battlefield that is Gaza from the comfort of Qatar.

Genuinely what’s the long term plan here ? If there is no Assembly we end up with either (a) Direct Rule which increases support for a United Ireland or (b) Joint Authority, what’s the long term plan here ?
The Lockdown that made my decision to finally leave Galway after 27 years. I saw my income get decimated for the month so the NPHET could ‘send a message’. All the evidence at the time was that omicron was much more mild but it didn’t stop the Irish media and politicians.
@AodhMorONeill
Cope harder, if the UK government wasn’t going to fund pensions in the event of Scottish independence they are most certainly not in a United Ireland
@JoelKeysNI
Have membership of illegal organization legislation apply to all those who are in street gangs with little or no paramilitary links. Have the imprisonment term be a mandatory seven years.
@lukeacorkery
‘Inflation came from nowhere’ 😂 yeah the “economist” doesn’t point out that locking down an economy for two years and printing an excess amount of money which increased the supply and devalued the currency lead to inflation instead it just came ‘out of nowhere’ fantasy economics
@mooreholmes24
Don’t come crying to me when Nationalism keeps winning elections so, and don’t come crying to me when there is a united Ireland because you can’t strategise.
@chrisadonnelly
Was Iran provoking a conflict with Israel by helping finance and arm Hamas for years while also sponsoring terrorism all over the Middle East ?
@HennebryDylan
elephant in the room is that Irish football also has to compete with the GAA. Many GAA teams end up taking elite athletes which is why the league of Ireland is introducing leagues for younger age groups. The fact is Scottish kids are just playing football not the case in Ireland
@matthewdillon29
For Unionism there needs to be one Liberal - Pragmatic party and one Conservative party. Unionism also needs to stop listening to Jamie Bryson if they are to have any hope. He said on Nolan in 2013 that unionists would come out and vote over the flag issue, how did that work out?
People Before Profit refusing condemn the use of a Nazi Banner in relation to Israel at Derry and Strabane Council sums them up. The Far Right and Far Left are Jew hating scum.
Champions League ? No thanks, Inter vs AC will only be a game to see who the loser of the Champions League Final will be - come down to the Oval instead ! 🔴🟢⚫️
@JamieBrysonCPNI
Which will just cause the nationalist vote to increase. If the Union is really in ‘suspension’ why didn’t the unionist vote turn out and vote ?
@garrett_mahony
@katieharr1988
This myth again, the legislation states that once a border poll occurs another one can’t be called for seven years not that one has to be called every seven years.
@wallyt53
From an evangelical Protestant who was born and raised Catholic in the Republic of Ireland, what gets me is you very much underestimate how much more hostile the Republic of Ireland is to Christianity in general after the fall of the Catholic Church. Our faith would be hammered.
