In 1985 I was told not to dream high because I was dyslexic. In 2011 I became a proud ambassador for @DyslexiaScotlan . In 2019 I will continue to help raise awareness about the positive aspects of dyslexia. Its a time to change how we view dyslexia please help in anyway you can.

Still remember walking into Hampden Park with my dad & him saying ‘son I just need you to believe’ I can still close my eyes and see his face as he lifted me up above his head shouting ‘we’ve done it, we’ve done it son’ Miss you so much dad but what a memory 🥹 ❤️🐼🙏

In 1990 I got my exam results which were not great & left school at 15 with not many prospects. Lucky my mum never gave up on me & when I decided to try education again 10 years later she was right behind me. Find your own way, find people that believe in you & never give up 🙌

A few reasons I love this: 1. Our son is one of the bravest people I know ❤️ 2. My wife @JulieMcNeill1 is an amazing writer ❤️👏 3. We won’t rest until everyone with dyslexia is treated with respect and supported to flourish 💪🙌 4. Living with dyslexia is tough sometimes

I have been through a lot of sadness in my life but don’t think I have ever been so upset and down after listening to that tonight 😔 All I want in life is to grow old with my wife, hug my family again and watch my children grow up happy. I hope history is kind on us all 🙌
