Martin’s earned every penny he’ll make. The most improved player I’ve ever seen at Hibs. The larger-than-life stuff’s sometimes overplayed - as he’s a serious professional who’s worked hard at his game - but it made him so important at HTC. A pleasure to know and work with.

Part of a group who walked into a club that had just been relegated, supporters protesting outside and not enough players for a game of fives. Played a big part in modernising Hibs and restoring pride. Never mind that day in May. Above all, a top man who cares about people.
