I don’t usually post this sort of thing but I’m hurting and I need to let some of that hurt out. Sadly I lost my brother, Anthony, to cancer earlier this week. It has broken us and left us adrift. Cherish your loved ones, take care of each other and value every moment.
This weekend I celebrated 20 years (!) working for Games Workshop. I am proud to be a company veteran and had a great evening at the event. It’s been an incredible two decades. I’ve learned so much, met so many lovely people and made some lifelong friends. Here’s to more…
Volpone Glory is the first full length novel about the Volpone Bluebloods and set during the Sabbat Crusade with characters like Regara and Culcis returning plus a whole bunch of new ones. If you like military fiction this one is for you.

Beyond thrilled to see a character I created for the Salamanders novel series forged into this handsome devil... The mighty Adrax Agatone!

It’s a very sad day in the Kyme household. Our beloved house rabbit, Shakespeare, passed away peacefully in the night. He was 11 years old. We loved him dearly, and are heartbroken. He was such a massive part of our family. Rest now, my beautiful boy. x
Today is my third wedding anniversary to this wonderful woman. Here we are on our honeymoon about to depart for the sunny climes of Florida... Three years is leather apparently and this is what she got me. 😍🥰
Thank you

. Cannot wait for you all to see what we've been working on with the next epic series for Warhammer 40,000. So many incredible writers, a sprawling narrative, huge cast. The Dawn of Fire is coming...

Wow. This is truly wonderful. A character I named and created for the Salamanders series is now immortalised as an awesome action figure. Stunning. By Vulkan, I must get one. 🔥🔥🔥
By the Golden Throne, this first draft is done. It is done, I say! 125,000 words of novel. Started it during first lockdown and, holy shit, what a year it's been, but it's done. And now I am spent. Time for wine. Cheers everyone.

Huge thanks to everyone who made the BL Weekender such an awesome place to be. I am ever in awe of the passion and dedication of the fans and crew. I won’t be there tomorrow but enjoy the day.

It’s preorder day for Volpone Glory, and check out this thing of beauty... Honoured that Dan wrote an introduction for the special edition too and for letting me play in the Sabbat Worlds sandpit.

Book spotting in Warhammer World… found a couple of old favourites (and not talking about my hair, either, which looks greyer than Denethor’s in that light… I swear it’s the light…).

Officially on preorder next Saturday, Volpone Glory in both special edition and hardback. The special edition has an introduction by Dan Abnett and a new short story by yours truly. And I can’t wait for you to read this novel.
Sweet Roboute Guilliman. It is done. After working through illness, and Christmas and now New Year, the first draft is done. One thing is true of writing, and this is pretty universal I'd say - it always requires sacrifice. I'm off for a rest. Ta ta.
It's official, folks. Volpone Glory in both special edition and hardback formats will be released this December! Return to the Sabbat Worlds and make war with the Volpone 50th as you've never seen them before...

I'd like to thank everyone for their kind messages this last few days for our dearly departed house rabbit, Shakespeare. Your words brought us much comfort in a very difficult time. We miss him terribly and will never forget him. Here he is in happier days, watching the rain.
It looks like Volpone Glory has completely sold out on GW web store. Wow. Thank you. I’m blown away by the support and cannot wait for you to read this book. I’m sorry if you missed it and would say try your retail stores and independent stockists, plus there’s the ebook.
The inaugural Warhammer Crime novel is a twisting, turning mystery thriller of devilish proportions. It’s a fantastic novel. You’ve never quite read 40K like this before... and it’s awesome.
I've received some really lovely comments recently about Knights of Macragge. Thank you. A humble plea... if you enjoyed the book, please do rate it on Amazon/Goodreads etc. I'd be very much obliged. This sort of thing really helps a writer. Thank you. 👍
Revealed at BL Live 2019, the end of the Sicarius saga (or perhaps a new beginning) and I can’t wait for you to read it. Knights of Macragge, coming soon!
This is awful, Cav. And unacceptable. Some people have a very twisted view of the world and their place in it. But I have faith that the positive voices, the decent folk of our community will drown out this despicable vitriol. You have my full support, mate.
Strange stepping into Warhammer World today for some obligatory hobby supplies but I was so impressed by the staff, the social distancing measures and sanitizer stations. I felt safe and welcome. Really great job, everyone.
I would rush home from school on a Friday to watch Knightmare. I still own (somewhere...) the novels/choose your own adventure gamebooks. ‘Enter, stranger...’
5th September 1987. A Saturday. Rick Astley's at Number One, Boris Johnson begins his first marriage and there's a new series called 'Knightmare', with a K, starting on Children's ITV next week.
Exhausted, elated, excited for the next one. Too many people to thank, but I am extremely proud to be part of such a fantastic team and wonderful community of authors, editors, colleagues, friends and fans. A splendid Weekender. Bring on next year!

A wonderfully intelligent and thoughtful man. I’ve always liked his music but his insight in interviews like this is genuinely thought provoking.
So sad to hear of Lance Reddick's passing. He was best known to me as Phillip Broyles in Fringe but also Sylens in Horizon Dawn and Cedric Daniels in the Wire, amongst many other celebrated roles. A man of infinite talent and presence. Rest in peace.
As an introvert, I need time to decompress by myself after social interactions. I enjoy them, and I love seeing people; I just need to recharge afterwards with some peace and maybe some music. So, here's to all the other introverts out there doing the same thing right now.
Saddened to hear about Rutger Hauer’s passing. Intense, brooding, he had such a presence on screen. Most famous for playing Roy Batty but I loved him in the underrated, oft forgotten fantasy film Ladyhawke in which he played the hero, Navarre.

Please forgive the plug... Available for pre-order now... The Imprecations of Daemons. My first Age of Sigmar audio drama. An exorcism. Magnificent cast. Wonderfully produced. Script is okay too. 😉 Pick it up on 27th April.
Released in January (and pre-released at the BL Weekender), the third Thiel audio drama 'Nightfane'. Listened to this yesterday. Gave me goosebumps (and scared the shit out of me too). Stunning performances and stellar production work by cast and team.
To everyone who followed my journey on the Blood Bowl pitch, through Victorian London with Sherlock Holmes and on the very Throneworld itself alongside Vulkan, I thank you. A very Happy New Year, one and all. I shall see you in 2018!
Happy New Year to everyone. Wishing you health, happiness and hobbies. Be kind to each other. Be decent. And remember that everyone is dealing with their own struggles, even if we can’t always see them. Here’s to a great/better 2022.
