I am seeing ‘pre qualifiers’ being discussed again. My opinion is just because you’re from France doesn’t give you more of a right to represent your country than someone from San Marino. People saying it’d be good for confidence, the nations league already exists for that.

Guam are the first team to be eliminated from World Cup 2026 roughly 950 days before the finals. Despite a valiant effort from the island of just 170,000 people they lost 3-1 on aggregate to Singapore. 9 more AFC nations' World Cup dreams will be over by the end of today.

The new World Cup Qualifying format in Africa means nations like Eritrea, Seychelles etc will get a full qualifying campaign rather than the potential of going out in a preliminary round. Can only be good for the development of these nations #WCQ

A team I will always admire is Tahiti in the Confederations Cup, they knew they had no chance v Spain, Uruguay and Nigeria and so they decided to play their own game and played a high line, the rewards were there to see in the passion when they managed to grab a goal v Nigeria.

No big shocks in Asia however 2 results stick out. Malaysia 🇲🇾 4-3 Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬 Thailand 🇹🇭 1-2 China 🇨🇳 A great fight back win for Malaysia in a massive game in that group and whilst China arent footballing minnows they are underachievers and this was a big win #WCQ
