Over the next 9 days there were more emergencies and procedures, but hope steadily drained away. After many difficult and tear-filled meetings with my in-laws, we finally all agreed we had to say goodbye. She died in my arms. 6/6

@reachjulieroys @ccsouthbay Nope. Nope nope nope. I did a number of intensive training camps while wrestling early in HS and this 'break you down so we can build you up' stuff is manipulative. Maybe it works for special forces, or maybe it doesn't. But it's a terrible idea for Christians.

My wife Erica was pregnant with our third child, a daughter we named Molly, when we lost the baby, and then lost my wife a week and a half later. A headstone (that I need to trim) is placed with our three names on it, missing only the date of my death. 2/6

While I sat across the aisle of the ICU, about 15-20 physicians, nurses, and other professionals "worked on" the love of my life. It was chaotic, violent--even dehumanizing--and went on for 1-2 hours as best I can recall. 5/6
