If the Education Minister is so certain schools are safe to return at the start of January, I think he should spend his first two weeks of 2021 in a classroom all day, every day with up to 30 children surrounding him. He won’t feel too safe & maybe he might return to reality.

The Home Office has reportedly agreed to return medicinal cannabis to little Billy Caldwell this morning. The prayers of thousands may just about to be answered. Tremendous efforts have been made to have his medication returned. I hope common sense finally prevails today!

10 months into COVID-19, the Education Minister has totally failed our school leaders, teachers & children. We all want to avoid school closures, but we all want schools to be safe for staff & kids. This Minister has no plan? This is totally unjustifiable & unacceptable.

I’ve battled hard with the Minister & @CCEA_info today. I’ve told them bluntly I won’t accept any child being failed by the system. The Algorithm must be produced so that the calculations used by CCEA to determine grades can be checked. Minister - we are all waiting!
