Been meaning to do this, but I’ve been so busy moving that I completely forgot to make this announcement. Today I started a new job with
@WyoSports
covering the local high schools and LCCC in Cheyenne, WY. A big thanks to everyone in my career that has helped me get to this point
What a ride this season was. Words cannot express how blessed I was to be able to work with and cover this team. Hats off to everyone with the media team, coaching staff, and players for making this the best experience I could've asked for. Next season will be even better
Golden Knights need a big performance from Mark Stone over these next four games. He hasn't been himself since returning from injury, and they will need elite Mark Stone (or close to it) for this stretch run.
Another excellent pick up for
@UNLVRebelHockey
Caleb Strong provides even more scoring to the Rebels arsenal. He had 76 points (30G 46A) in 38 games played with the T-Birds (per elite prospects).
Congratulations to our first

Cheyenne East alum Elysiana Fonseca made her presence felt on offense and defense in the opening tournament of the season earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team!

UW takes it 69-62 in Boise to snap a five-game losing streak in Boise. Cowgirls outscore the Broncos 19-9 in the final frame and hold Boise State without a field goal for the final seven and a half minutes of the contest.
McCord finished that game with 48 points. LCCC wins 88-86. But what shouldn't get lost in this game is the defensive play he made with 6 seconds left in the game to force a turnover and give the ball back to his team. Unreal performance tonight out of the Cheyenne East product.
Little life update for me. I'm very excited to announce that next Friday, I will be starting a job with the
@reviewjournal
as a studio tech. I will helping with their 7

newscast, as well as some other duties.
My favorite part about this was that Bradie said after the game that she had no idea that she had gone over 1,000 points until she was told in the locker room. It shows that she's the type of player that doesn't fixate on individual stats and cares more about her team's success.
FINAL: Central wins it off a turnover by Natrona in the dying seconds. Unreal comeback by the Indians, who remain perfect on the season. Joe Sawyer finishes with 31. UNBELIVABLE game
Today, Cheyenne Central senior Madisyn Baillie signed her national letter of intent to go to
@SUUTFXC
for track and field. She said the choice ultimately came down to how welcomed she felt by the team and coaching staff.
What a night. From getting champagne rained on me to getting to hear William Karlsson’s all-time greatest speech, and everything in between. Proud to be a fan of this team.

@CentralMBB
senior Chase Talich entered the last game of the regular season averaging 12.2 points per game.
Since that point, he's averaged 21 points over a seven game stretch. He picked a pretty good time to elevate his play.
12-4 was the realistic record the
#vegasborn
needed to have over the last 16 to have a good shot at sneaking into the playoffs. This was a game they needed to win, and have just looked terrible. Inconsistent defense and lack of scoring is going to cost them a playoff birth.
@MellemaEmily
has been one of
@wyo_wbb
most steady players this season in an elevated role. But she has also become a star on Social Media for the Cowgirls. My story on her efforts on and off the court to help UW ahead of today’s Border War.
With my last story being sent off, that concludes the coverage of the 2023 Class 4A soccer state tournament. I'm exhausted, and I have worked 10+ hours each of the last three days.
But thats what I love about this job. I appreciate everyone that followed along and read my stuff!
Pine Bluffs accepts the fourth place trophy. While it wasn’t the ending they wanted, the Hornets saw Travis Werner’s goal of bringing home hardware come to fruition.
No one gave them much of a chance this year, but the Hornets stand as one of the final four teams.
FINAL: East's comeback comes up just short, and Central survives a second half surge for a victory to claim the Southeast's No. 1 seed heading into regionals next week. Final score 78-72.
Fantastic game to close out the regular season.
Shoshone complete a 25 yard pass on the final play of the game, but it’s not enough as time runs out. Pine bluffs is your class 1A 9 man state champion

Central picked up the 41 to 10 win, and advances to the state semifinal against Sheridan next week. The Indians get a rematch with the Broncs from week one
Thanks to Southwest and their immmaculate meltdown, I am in Vegas for two more days. I am also here for the conference opener between UW and UNLV. We’re just about an hour from tip-off, and I will have updated throughout the game.

@CheyEast
senior Bradie Schlabs put together another standout season for the Thunderbirds. Her efforts earned her a second Laramie County girls basketball POTY nod from WyoSports (link contains a video, first team and second team all-county selections).
Karson Tempel and Izzy Kelly have picked up right where they left off last night. The two sophomores have combined for nine of Central's first 11 points.
FINAL: UW takes it 54-48. It got really hairy over the final 80 seconds, but a pair of clutch free throws by Allyson Fertig with 23 seconds left put the game out of reach. Cowgirls improve to 2-0 in conference play and will play Air Force again on Saturday.
Final score tallies from the 4A title game
East: Schlabs 18 (11 in the 4th), Jackson 17, Mirich 14, Hayes 12, Jolley 7.
Laramie: Brown 26, Summers 13 (11 boards), Alexander 8, Busch 6, Smith 4, Chavez 2.
Just a phenomenal game all around. Great way to close out the season.
Very bad injury on the field. Colin Newton is down on the field with what looks like a REALLY bad ankle injury. Ambulance is coming onto the field. Hopefully he is okay, but this game is now secondary to his health.
During the Cowgirls weekly presser this morning, Heather Ezell is the one taking questions. She said she is back with the team will be back on the bench for Thursday's game against Reno.
Final:
T-Birds: 47
Camels: 28
Camels grab three TDs in the4th quarter to make the score look nicer. The starters for east played one series in the second half, however. All in all an absolutely dominant win by East High as the extend their win streak over Campbell County to 7.
Sophomore setter Brooke Parker followed coach Zach Shaver to
@laramiecountyvb
. She's now providing a veteran presence for the Golden Eagles.

Cheyenne East boys clinch a spot in the state title game with a dominant 69-39 win over Campbell County. They will play the winner of Laramie and Cody tomorrow at 8 p.m. for the 4A state title
Tonight
@UNLVRebelHockey
faces off against
@UOHockey
in the final weekend of the season.
@dominicjlavoie
and I take a quick look at the Rebel team and what it will take for them to come away with a win tonight.
Schlabs and Jackson were virtually non-factors in the first three quarters. Both have stepped up in a huge way this quarter. East leads 55-47 with 2:40 left.
Waiting for confirmation, but it looks like Thunder Basin upended Kelly Walsh in the semis. That would mean a rematch between Central and the Bolts for the state title tomorrow at 4 p.m.
Bitter rivals Cheyenne East (12-1) and Cheyenne Central (10-3) do battle tonight at Storey Gym. Girls are up first and it should be a good one tonight, as both teams have gotten off to good starts this season.
Central takes it 7-0. Dirk Dijkstal said he didn’t want his team taking anyone lightly, and that sure did not happen for the Indians today. They move onto the semis, where they will face Sheridan
Final score 73-67 UNLV. UW gave them everything they could handle, but that early stretch in the fourth quarter sunk them. Quinn Weideman finishes with 20 points on 8-for-9 shooting.
Cheyenne Central junior Logan Custis never expected to lead Wyoming in goals. That's what he did on his way to WyoSports' Cheyenne boys soccer player of the year honors.

Day one from the class 4A state soccer tournament in Rock Springs.
@_AustinEdmonds
will have coverage of East girls (9 am) and Laramie girls (2 pm). I’ll have coverage of East boys (11 am) and Central boys (4 pm).
Cowgirls basketball starts tonight and the Cowboys start tomorrow. Check out the annual preview magazine for
@WyoSports
to catch back up with both teams before the season.
Here we go. Central and Laramie are on the court for warm ups. Indians look to get back to the mountain top for the first time since 2021.
The teams split the series up to this point 2-2, but Laramie has won two straight.
Central and Kelly Walsh are about 13 minutes to kickoff as both teams look to advance to tomorrow's state title match. It's pretty crazy to think that this is a semifinal game (same with Jackson vs. Sheridan). It just goes to show how strong the top of 4A boys soccer is this year
