Prime Minister Chris Hipkins showed in Parliament today that he lives in a fantasy land when he claimed incorrectly that ram-raids had reduced by 75% under his watch. They are up by 500% since 2018. He seems to live on Planet Hipkins, where facts don’t matter.

Some last minute advice from the Fire Chief before I tackle the Fire Fighters Sky Tower Challenge. Humbled to be participating in a special event right alongside our own Rodney fire fighters. Not to late to donate. We are Raising funds for Blood Cancer treatment.

Sharp rise in gang violence in the past two years. Middlemore says shootings have 'jumped significantly'. We're sick of seeing gangs peddle meth and misery and then act like they're saints. National makes no apologies for cracking down on them.

Had a call from David Shearer on Sunday night. As the head of the UN mission in South Sudan he has a pivotal role in facilitating a peace agreement. It sounds like it’s very close and wishing him and our NZDF personnel supporting him the best of luck for a very big week ahead.

Justice Venning and David Goldfinch were right to call Epiha out as a coward. Gang members are cowards. They are criminal organisations that use violence and intimidation. Our Police Service are the good guys. They need our support to turn the dial back towards community safety.

In Hawke's Bay with @LawrenceYuleMP . Packed public meeting on escalating gang violence and seeing where a gang brawl last weekend resulted in a shotgun pellet striking a child's car seat. Gangs aren't misunderstood. They're violent, uncaring and emboldened under this Government.
