I don't know if David Lynch is personally a good or bad person but I wonder if he keeps getting divorced because he just wants to stay in his little workshop making weird sculptures instead of taking his family out to the TGI Fridays
Intro to Film Studies prof just kicked a student out of the lecture room for wearing a Hausu shirt but not being able to name any other movie by the guy who directed it
Helloooo I'm the Nostalgia Critic I remember it so you don't have to. Back in 1990 a show called Twin Peaks captured the nation. But just one year later everyone grew frustrated with the series and its box office bomb of a movie did little to help. What went wrong? Let's find out
I tried emailing our professor about this saying it was an unfairly low mark, it's a good list, but all I got was a one line email saying "Watch more movies."
@TheG0opster
No because as soon as he pointed the gun at me I said out loud his complete filmography including shorts and docs along with the year date and then he put the gun down and cried
Richard Linklater should make School of Rock 2 which would star all the same child actors but only take place a year later. It would be like the opposite of Boyhood.
Lilly Gladstone winning the Oscar but being booed down by the crowd who chants, Bar-bie! Bar-bie! then she tearfully hands over the Oscar to Margot Robbie who says yay for girl power and unleashes a psychic blast that turns everything within a five mile radius pink and dead
@hollowchatter
My uncle works at Criterion he says the only supplement to soy cuba is the entirety of Das Kapital and you have to read the whole thing or else criterion sends you to the gulag
The Godfather was the movie of the 70s.
Raging Bull the movie of the 80s. (If you grew up in the 80s.)
Pulp Fiction the 90s.
There Will Be Blood/No Country the 00s.
There is no consensus film of the 10s. There will not be. That's not a bad thing. It's just a thing.
Martin Scorsese will film his Jesus movie this year.

Richard Linklater is truly great for bridging the gap between jocks, stoners, athletes and the artsy kids. He doesn't with the nerds but that's what makes his films great
Imagining a Dune movie where they get transported to 1990s NYC. Think of all the crazy things that could happen. Paul eats at McDonald's, Feyd goes into breakdancing competitions, it could be crazy
I sometimes think it's crazy the reverence RLM gets on FilmTwitter despite them not being huge cinephiles like at all (they've admitted this before and it's obvious 90% of the time they just keep to their own comfort genres) ...
The plot of an average Scrubs episode is like, the hospital doesn't have the funding to upgrade important medical equipment leading to the horrible deaths of many patients and then the final J.D. narration is like "I guess when life gives you lemons, you gotta make lemonade"
Used to be distracted knowing Mulholland Drive was a reworked tv pilot because you just see the beginnings of stories and hints of connections but now I'm realizing that's what makes the movie so effective, it's like, foreshadowing to something you don't see, very dreamlike
Is "Sugar, Sugar" by The Archies the most popular song by a band made of fictional characters? Not counting virtual bands like Gorillaz cause I mean, the Archies were characters in a different thing first
Bill Murray doesn't care about Garfield you can tell. It's just a fucking paycheck for him, no fucking respect brought to voicing such an iconic character
Remember when Brendan Fraser won the oscar and he was like, "Did I just travel across the multiverse? Wubalubadubdub! I'm pickle Rick!" and then he started writing on the floor screeching until security had to get him off the stage
The Bear is mentioned a lot here but I don't know anything about it other than it's about a restaurant. Is it a comedy or a drama . Is the main Bear guy a hero or a villain. I look for clues on twitter and don't find any
but it kind of goes to show how being honest and not getting stuck in tired discourse for too long immediately makes you one of the better YouTube reviewers I guess. That and Best of the Worst is usually a fun time
@dollshojo
I'm noticing some places getting rid of their "all are welcome here" pride stickers at the front entrance. Not the most meaningful gesture to have that there but it was something instead of nothing. It's kind of depressing lol

It's possible it doesn't interfere with his family life or it does but they accept it for whatever reason. Idk speculation probably isn't very interesting
People keep taking about the "long stretch" of bad Twin Peaks S2 episodes but it's only like around 8 episodes? Is that a long stretch of tv to have to suffer when people love to hate watch whole shows here?
