Yesterday we had an angry member of the public jump out in front of the combine around the headland because his sandwich was covered in dust. He then came out again and stood in front of the combine. He was so lucky not to have been hit by a vehicle. Thanks mum for de-escalation

We are on to the #osr (oilseedrape) now. The #johndeere #s785 combine has the rape extension on the front of the header. The silver knife alone the edge cuts through the rape as it’s a bit like walking through a jungle. Without it would just drag and bend parts of the combine.

I am tedding hay with the @johndeere #6185r and the @KUHN_UK Tedder. I am flicking the grass out to help it dry, this hay is used for animal feed. Normally hay is made in June but due to the bad weather this year we never completed it, hence why we are doing it in September.

We are cutting the last of our cereal crops today using the T670i combine with a 25ft header. This combine is a straw walker meaning it favours straw quality over grain collection, this is partially down to the smaller cleaning drum. #combine #johndeere

Drills/ seed planters deliver seed at a metered pace and evenly distribute crops throughout the soil, lightly compact the soil to improve seed to soil contact. With this drill @sumo_uk depending on the conditions we can cover 100-120 acres a day.
