Three outages remain in #Bracebridge . South Bank estimated time of restoration (ETR) 1pm High Falls 12pm and we are we are trying to get access to Latvian Road, crews have been there by snowshoes but need truck access.

Sudbury got hit with a storm yesterday afternoon causing downed trees & powerlines. @SudburyHydro reached out for assistance. We have responded by sending 4 men & 2 bucket trucks that left #Bracebridge this morning. Thanks to our crews for representing us & helping!

Outages have been primarily caused by heavy snow sticking to tree branches. The weight is causing trees to bend, break and come out of the ground. We trim trees to meet or exceed @homeandsafety utility standard. Homeowners regularly push back and don’t want their trees trimmed

Crews worked throughout the night, changing poles and removing trees from wires. Stephan's Bay road still has 41 customers without power, on shortly. 21 customers on St.Elmos and View Point Trail will be a few more hours, Beaumont has 6 customers off, restoration later today

Congrats to @townbracebridge for successfully completing @SaveonEnergyOnt Retrofit! 👏 #Bracebridge Sportsplex replaced its pool lighting with #LED , and it is predicted to reduce the facility’s annual energy consumption by over 71,000 kWh. That's an annual consumption of 7 homes!

#DYK when Bird's Mill in #Bracebridge was purchased, it produced 84 kilowatts of electricity? Streetlights and new customers quickly utilized the facility's full ability. A second turbine was added that pumped water up a main street watermain.
