Firefighters from the main fire station assisted with getting Samy a ten year old Great Pyrenees up from Tryon Creek Park. Rachelle, his owner said that he had wondered down and could not get back up the steep hill on his own. Samy was happy to be back at the top.

This heat has an affect on all of us, even this dehydrated bird that we found in our apparatus bay this morning. Firefighter Cool used a syringe to give it water. Ones the bird was cooled of and hydrated, it flew away. Make sure that you drink plenty of fluids in this heat.

During the winter storm and high winds on Saturday morning, January 13, 2024, a very large tree fell on a house in the Southwood area of Lake Oswego. The tree crashed through the second floor, killing an elderly man who was inside. Read more:
