After renting for 23 years of continuous unbroken tenancy we were given 23months notice by our landlord. We don’t qualify for social or affordable housing. We expect our new rent will be 150% to 200% higher. At 52yo I worry about the future and retirement. #rtept

It may not have been the biggest #Pride2023 parade this year in Ireland but the fact it happened is what counts. The energy was brilliant. The bravery it takes to get out and march in a smaller town should never be underestimated. It’s easy to be lost in a 50l strong parade.

Hey @DubCityCouncil ever since you let the private developer reinstate the road on Charlemont Street this is a regular occurrence when it rains. Cyclists have to go to the centre of the road to avoid the water. I’ve reported this several times and nothing has happened.

I first encountered @BrendanHowlin in 1992, he as Minister for Health and I as chair of Dublin AIDS Alliance, at Buswells Hotel to formally launch World AIDS Day. Later in 1993 he would go on to make condoms freely available for anyone who wanted them.

It is wonderful to be finally back in the community doing our on site HIV testing as MPOWER. First venue to open up is @TheGeorgeDublin and we are here until 8pm every Tuesday evening. The service is free and confidential and the results are given in 60 seconds. @HIVIreland

As an atheist I wish members of the #Oireachtas didn’t begin sessions with religious prayer. Members should be required to take a pledge in which they state they serve the interests of the people without fear or favour. Take ‘God’ out of Government @atheistie @OireachtasNews

Sadly one of the pillars of the LGBT community who helped bring about so much positive change has passed away. Eoin Collins has left a legacy few others will ever achieve. My condolences to his family and others who had the privilege to call him a friend.

Well the people you get to sit with when you are invited to sit at the @PresidentIRL ’s table in Áras an Uachtaráin. What an absolute honour to sit at his table with people like @ailbhes . He spoke brilliantly on women’s rights globally and also mentioned situation in Uganda.

Him indoors decided I needed to be outdoors that last two days… so I was dragged up Killiney Hill yesterday and up the mountain overlooking Lough Tay today. After 25 years I’ve learned life is simpler if I just say yes and go with it. #HappyPride #Pride
