Dublin Police Detective Erik Gilleland passed away from cancer in April, 2019. Tonight several of our officers were there to cheer Erik's son Bryan on as he walked across the field for his Senior Night at the Grandview Heights High School football game. Police equals family. 💙💙

Dublin Police officers have taken a person into custody after shots were fired in an apartment building on Longshore Street at 6:35 p.m. There are no injuries reported at this time.
The public is safe but encouraged to avoid the area as police investigate.

We are sad to report that one of our own, Detective Erik Gilleland, passed away from cancer last Friday. He was hired in 1999 and retired in late March 2019. He is survived by a wife and two kids.
Today, Dublin Police officers honored the lives of Central Ohio law enforcement who have died while serving their community. While this event was limited due to the pandemic, the public can watch the ceremony online May 15, which is Peace Officers Memorial Day.
