The police arrived in numbers today at Vanbrugh Hill, Calvert rd, Annandale. Even though they wore hiviz (great for deterring drivers) they caught lots of drivers -wrong side of the road at speed around blind bends. Residents thrilled to be able to cross the road.

By 9am, walking away from my destination- Maze hill station - a 4 min detour to avoid being killed by speeding Vanburgh hill traffic if I crossed below the blind bend. This woman decided to avoid the (moving) traffic queue and speeded down the wrong side of the road.

Immigration raid Peckham Police and home office security say the Peckham coach to Bibby Stockholm has been cancelled - but they won’t provide any proof/confirmation. 100s of People are holding the coach here in Peckham until confirmation.

Black Cab ignoring the keep left signage and driving around the wrong side of the pedestrian island. Parents warning kids not to use islands (with dropped curbs) due to drivers behaving dangerously. There is a large secondary school at top of hill and primary/nurseries at bottom

Only photos remain ... it really is scandalous . 100s of semi mature trees were planted at great expense on Greenwich peninsula to celebrate the millennium just 21 years ago. It was supposed to be a mainly traffic free zone. Now a series of LA style highways being constructed

@GiulioFerrini We haven’t even got safe pedestrian / wheelchair routes in much of Greenwich let alone safe cycling - police warned us cycling not safe around This hill ⬇️ in the east. Ratrunners dominate school streets and neighbourhoods -hours of idling traffic every morning on Vanbrugh Hill

queues of ratrunning traffic on Vanbrugh hill east Greenwich early today. 386 bus delayed at back of queue. Air quality vile. vehicles ignoring keep left signs and cutting into and delaying buses on Woolwich rd. Another driver said she she didn’t see/understand keep left sign

Condemned mature elm by the southbound Blackwall tunnel traffic. This tree is due to be felled to facilitate construction site and building of a flyover as part of the 5 year build of the Silvertown road tunnel which will funnel juggernauts through our community #TreesNotTrucks
