@birgitomo No provincial mandate for homecare workers either. Unvaccinated staff can perform medically complex treatments including suctioning, Port-A-Cath access, g-tube management on complex children&adults, most who are immuno-compromised. Hospital and homecare&RH mandates are needed.

Well shoot. 14 & I managed to avoid it until now. 😓😪 16 will be living in our basement the next while and hoping she and Angie both don’t get this. Very sore throat, asthma flaring some but managed ok with inhalers. Tired.

I took this special lady shopping today. We wore our N95s and thankfully the store was pretty empty. She spotted this dress and would not leave without it! I think I will get her some faux pearls to match. (Ignore the leggings lol) I love seeing her relaxed. #EssentialCaregiver

Group homes should have been provided with rapid tests not told to procure their own when tests are scarce. @fordnation @celliottability @DrFullertonMPP @ParmGill my sister should not be barred from her North Halton Group home if we cannot find a rapid test. DM open to media.

Both my children & myself have increased risks if we get Covid. My children both have chronic conditions from birth & I will do what I can to try and protect them from the risk of long covid. I work with at risk patients & worry about my sister in the group home &my parents 2/4

Dementia: if you have a loved one w/ dementia please check their fridge.Doctors NPs please ask families to check fridges. Yesterday I cleaned a patients fridge w/their family. 8 past due milk 1L (hoarding milk),spoiled food some maybe growing penicillin. #dementia #geriatric 1/2

I am back home. Long day but feeling somewhat better and glad my breathing is easier again. MD added another inhaler, extended my prednisone and suggested re-test for Covid. Going for PCR tomorrow. Love to those of you who sent your kindness. You make my world better each day. 💜

As a nurse who works in the community, I have never seen so much elder abuse and unintentional neglect as I have in the past 3 years. Please check on your seniors; especially if they are housebound. Many do not even understand the definition of abuse & neglect. #geriatrics
