RAT COVID TESTING: It's so important that you swab the inside of your cheek (especially at the level of your upper & lower molars), under your tongue and the back of your throat before you swab your nose. Sensitivity of available RATs increases significantly with this approach.

Despite masking everywhere, my significant other has come down with covid19 on vacation in Muskokas. Tested positive immediately. Will test, but my exposure must have been high. He has cold symptoms only with cough. #BringBackMasks Parry Sound has lots of test kits & no Tylenol.

Can we please ignore the Ford minions telling you to ignore case numbers. Cases lead to hospitalizations which lead to cancelled cancer surgeries, delayed MI diagnosis and management, and a collapse of usual health care. It's important to react before the admissions occur.

Another reason @GovCanHealth dropped the ball in not procuring Novavax vaccine. Most effective at reducing viral transmission (viral load). Less side effects than mRNA vaccines and comparable efficacy. @markhollandlib should explain this to Canadians.

Novavax reduces viral load by 2.78 log10, while the Moderna vaccine was 2.12. The log10 scale is 10x for each step, indicating Moderna reduces viral load by just over 100x, and Novavax reduces viral load by over 600x. No significant reductions seen for others.

We warned CMOH Moore about the dangers to the healthcare system if he lifted mask mandates. MOHs Dr. Nesthurai, @twpiggott @mustafahirji requested CMOH mask mandates but he refused. My family member was unable to be assessed for a stroke at a teaching hospital under 8 hrs!

Looks like the Prime Minister is backing down from substantive health reform. He had a historic opportunity & public support to ensure health dollars were used for healthcare, to tie funding to improved homecare & surgical procedures, etc. It appears he choked. 🤷🏼‍♂️ What a shame.
