Test tweet for my very small number of followers. I have assembled a list of links to reports of Russian atrocities which can be posted to Russian embassy in London's and Mick Wallace's Twitter accounts etc in response to the outrageous (imho) things they tweet. Interested?
@Gerashchenko_en
It always amazes me that the collaboration between the nastier parts of the world is inevitably a commercial venture and priced in US$. Can't remember what Iran uses (Rials?) but they sure as hell aren't going to take Rubles. And they demanded gold. Cos you can't transact in $.
@onlydjole
Looks like winter all right 🤣. That would be the 25th Patriot system destroyed out of the 8 provided also. Shame Russia took our other NATO supplied superweapons too.
@GeromanAT
Funny how most of Russia's neighbours, having been "liberated" at least once by the Red Army, all voluntarily wanted to join NATO (note - not forced).
@visegrad24
He is like the Carlsberg ad, “probably” the worst Irish person ever. I disown him. Please don’t think he speaks for the rest of us. Ireland is firmly and totally behind Ukraine.
@WarMonitor3
It will take a few weeks of testing and overhaul to make sure important components haven't been stolen by oligarchs and generals and replaced with marzipan simulacrims then. Like the ERA blocks made of wood and the body armour made of plywood and McDonalds cartons.
@reuven_cazh
I don't know quite what to say. I'm horrified at what you point out below. But actually I can understand the point of view and given what Hamas is, I fear for the future now both if they are eradicated at huge cost by Israel and also if they are not. It's a bleak outlook.
Wonderful news that the 9 yr old Irish girl (don’t want to use her name with the others in this tweet) has been released. No thanks to
@paulmurphy_TD
@pb4p
@sinnfeinireland
@Ogra_SF
who contributed nothing at all except howling for the Israeli ambassador to be expelled.
@danielsrosehill
Please don’t judge us all by reference to this useless waste of oxygen screaming to get “likes”and retain the crucial 2% party vote to get state funding. Yes 2.6% was their harvest in the 2020 elections. But that speech should be at least considered by the Gardai.
@paulmurphy_TD
What part did you play in that campaign Paul? Stop bandwagon jumping and get back to howling and convening mobs to howl for the expulsion of the Israeli ambassador and sanctions and genocide. Because it’s so helpful.
@AbdullaAlJumali
But not for Hamas. Ever. Where do you stand on justifying Hamas’ medieval brutality? Be careful how you answer. If you want Irish support. Hamas has set back the Palestinian cause for a long time.
@mattcarthy
It’s great to see Sinn Fein collapsing on its internal inconsistencies as it tries and fails to make the transition to being just a normal political party.
@EOBroin
Brilliant. How to alienate absolutely anyone who has bought a house for more than €300,000. Vote for SF to create negative equity and torch all that money you saved after tax 😆.
@LockTrev
@JamieBrysonCPNI
If there was a coalition of moderate fed up prods, moderate fed up catholics and moderate fed up people living on this island who don't care to be categorised by religion (me), I'm sure the rhetoric would be dialled down and we could get on with just, well, living together.
I used to go to Irl v Eng matches in the 70’s and 80’s with my Dad god rest him and we would ask ourselves before the match would we lose by 20, 30 or 40 points? And I would be crying going home. How magnificent is this for a little small country like Ireland?
@Tendar
I'm sure these guys will be interested in adding parties to the proceedings they have already issued against Wagner. If this sticks to the Kremlin, it hopefully opens a wave of litigation against assets located in rule of law jurisdictions.
@KevinCampSF
I hate this misappropriation of the term Óglach for IRA terrorists. There is only one Óglaigh na hÉireann. And this was a bloody terrorist bomb attack on civilians. Not some accidental tragedy.
@MaimunkaNews
Poland, Finland, Estonia,Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Romania, Czechoslovakia, Chechnya, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine and many other places - invaded raped and pillaged by the Red Army.
@fellaraktar
I recall reading a post about Finnish volunteers saying they trained for not having air superiority unlike NATO/ all the guys fighting in Ukraine were unpreprepared. I think Russia is lucky Finland joined NATO, it would be embarrassing to be beaten by Finland on its own. Again.
A year ago I began wondering: what happens in Syrian media when Mick Wallace and Clare Daly speak in support of viewpoints held by the Assad regime?
I set up an alert for their names when used in Arabic, Russian and Chinese.
Follow me down the rabbit hole:
@NaomiOhReally
I wish he would just stick to his job. The job of the President is not to be a polemicist and contradict the government on foreign policy. As titular commander in chief I'd prefer to hear him a lot more on the subject of our defence forces, not a major concern of his it seems.
@danielsrosehill
An absolutely dreadful man. I don’t know if his mainstream comedy is funny (I won’t be seeing it) but his “satire” skits on Israel are not.
@paulmurphy_TD
Paul you don't get to punch out stats like that without backup, it's insulting to the Ukrainians and the huge war and demeans their heroic struggle against genocide that you belittle them in this way. Also just carelessly or deliberately wrong. For shame.
Police found the bodies of 868 civilians (24 children) in deoccupied Kharkiv Oblast, Donetsk Oblast and Kherson Oblast, Sergeev, head of the operational response department of the National Police.
The police also documented 34 torture chambers in the liberated territories.
@danielsrosehill
@Quora
I think Israel is not reading the room. I for example would be very much on the pro Israel end of the Irish spectrum and abhor the Hamas rape and murder army, but what is happening in Gaza is just not acceptable.
@The_Mdawini
I wonder how people can tweet this kind of stuff. Then I realise that there is a self reinforcement and affirmation of the least informed and most underprivileged going on. Sometimes the internet is a really bad thing because this sort of nothing gives perverse hope of…what?
@pb4p
@RBoydBarrett
Sorry Richard your selective howls of outrage and literal mad hand waving and jumping up and down at one party only and in relation to one conflict only show the world that, lets be kind and say, there is some inconsistency in your passion.
@MaimunkaNews
Russian ships keep destroying NATO missiles by interecepting them with their decks. Russian planes keep destroying NATO missiles by ramming them. Etc.
@wallacemick
Any chance you could just separately condemn Russia without a whataboutery on US/NATO? Maybe do it in sequence: Tweet 1: Russia is a terrorist state committing war crimes. Tweet 2: Whatever else you want to say. So that the reference to Russia is not just a fig leaf/token.
@elysium0883
Kind of amazing how the "SMO" started off with Kyiv in 3 days and now looks like loss of Kharkiv and Kherson and a "victory" in a hamlet of 11,000 people, retaining 19% of Ukraine after 300,000 casualties and all the modern (post 1990) equipment of the Red Army destroyed.
@LogKa11
$850k v $3.7bn cost of Kerch Bridge. Realistically, can you lot not just try and save face, withdraw and say your objectives have been met. You may be allowed to keep a base at Sevastopol (not for me to say) and think of all the people whose lives would be saved?
@mfa_russia
@RusEmbMalta
This isn't a very good parody account at all. Not even a bit funny although it has the exaggerated nonsense language nailed.
@RussEmbSwe
would you mind giving this fledgling parody account some lessons?
@EmbassyofRussia
@jayajayaram
Karelia. Stolen from Finland in the unprovoked winter war (denazification anyone?) Turned into a dreary Soviet backwater. Viipuri used to be a dynamic city. Most Finnish people dispossessed and became refugees in Finland. How Russia treats its neighbours. Everywhere.
@noclador
I have been morally a bit on the side for many conflicts over the last 30 years. On this occasion, the clearest good v evil decision in my lifetime, I find nothing in my heart but a wish that good will prevail, that Ukraine wins and as few of the good die as possible. God speed.
@Justinhead1982
Thank you for this thread Justin, it grinds my gears that these two get away with their awful views while also holding elected positions as MEPs. I post this on Mick’s feed a lot: Mick Wallace disqualified from involvement in companies for six years
@paulmurphy_TD
Do you yourself, as clearly a better man than Simon Coveny and not guilty of double standards, have a word for both Paul? Or is that too much to ask? Oh I forgot you don't answer awkward questions.
@Alex_Oloyede2
Must be kind of embarrassing to call Prighozin a traitor, have him shoot down a pile of helicopters and planes and then need Belarus to intervene to save the Kremlin. Like the US being saved from the MAGA invasion of the White House by Mexico.
@wallacemick
Well you weren't very good at capitalism having been declared bankrupt or very honest as a company director having been restricted, so of course you should get paid by the public purse to rail against capitalism. With no actual proposal (and get a haircut)
@paulmurphy_TD
The EU is supporting Ukraine. We are in the EU. Providing life saving demining training is something we must support. Russia has layered multiple anti personnel and anti tank mines on top of each other to make sure of death and injury over hundreds of km.
@paulmurphy_TD
It is still not verified. But actually the precise manner in which children were killed by Hamas is not critical. You are a disgrace Paul. Have the humanity to condemn both sides at least. I hope voters remember this.
@wallacemick
The range of things you are passionate about is both impressive and predictable - as long as anything has an anti EU/West/US spin that can be put in it, you are its champion (remind us about your electoral mandate will you please?).
@MingtheMercil15
I think you should write back and say you need help with a small amount of money to access a bank account belonging to a relative who was a prince who died in a plane crash in Congo.
