Before Jonathan Dowdall resigned as a Dublin City Councillor, he had some months earlier resigned from Sinn Féin owing to major disagreements. So his last political affiliation was as an INDEPENDENT. Notice how none of the media refer to him as “former Independent Councillor”?

Remember the incessant coupling of the phrase “Former Sinn Féin member Jonathan Dowdall” by RTÉ and all other major news outlets. Why do none of the media refer to “Former Fianna Fáil member” when writing headlines about this monster Bill Kenneally? Of course, we all know.
