Reminds me of a case in Japan where an American Navy officer killed a woman & her son with his car, he plead guilty & spent less than two years in jail. People had to explain to outraged Americans that unlike here, killing people with your car in Japan is generally frowned upon.

@veganhippiesol I'd try it and remind people that vegan options at fast food places isn't usually about us/vegan twitter but about making it more accessible for more people/reducing harm when someone opts for the new plantbased item vs their usual suffering intensive one.

Today I learned that if you ask a VPD Police Sargent to move their police van out of a bike lane (apparently an "active crime scene" of them removing a live music performance) that they will be rude and not take your request seriously! 🤯 #vanpoli

It's only been four days into the start of the @TransLink bike bus service and already they have substantially dropped the ball with no service on Canada Day long weekend. 16+ bike lineup at Tsawwassen. These people will have to wait three plus hours to get home.
