I have a huge problem with the term EBSA. Emotionally based school avoidance. I feel it puts the onus on the child. It’s doesn’t address the cause of a child not being able to attend school. Roughly 85% of the parents I support have #neurodivergent children. 🧵

Is not safe. They also blame themselves which eats into their self esteem and feeds anxiety. They shut off from the world even more. The parent and child are stuck in this cycle while everyone around turns their backs and blame either the parent/child or other service 🧵
