This is how my team left the dugout after a tough loss to end our season. It was a tough day where a number of things didn’t go our way and they still left the field like this—without me telling them to do so. Proud of my guys for fighting until the last out.

@Leg_baseball Umpire called a strike. You sure the field umpire didn’t call a balk here? Player was going back to base and looked out in the field then celebrated as he came home. Looks like a balk may have been called.

Wow! Back to back weeks with must win games on the road to keep our season alive. A word we like to use in our program is grit and we showed a lot of it this weekend. First road playoff series win in school history. Very proud of this group! On to the Sweet 16!

The first time I heard the Gospel I was 12 yrs old at one of Coach Shoop’s camps. I was invited by his son and my little league teammate. When I look back on my life, that camp really changed me. Thank you Coach Shoop for the Man of God you are. God bless you in your retirement.

Another rained out practice means finding creative ways to get work in. Tonight we got the chance to use Alabama’s indoor football facility. We got some quality work in and even had time to play some 7 on 7. I don’t think Coach Saban will be recruiting our guys anytime soon 😂

Our end of the year banquet is typically a fun night. This year, however, was the night I told my juniors I wasn’t coming back. Hardest thing I’ve done in my entire life. I’m forever grateful for my time at Northridge and for the people that help make it a special place. Go Jags!

We played our worst baseball in over a month, had a few breaks not go our way and still managed to have the tying run at the plate late in both games. We fought until the very end. Congrats to Faith Academy. Good team. The best is yet to come for our program. Go Jags!

I know I’m biased, but how is Tate Robertson not anywhere on this list? His ERA was closer to 1 than it was to 2, had over 100 more K’s than walks, was dominant in the playoffs, and led his team to the semifinals for the first time in school history. Really think we missed here.

A ball player is someone who does all the things necessary to help you win. Mayson is a ball player. Kid got quality playing time as an 8th grader and now an everyday player as a FR. He plays good defense, steals bases, gets HBP, gets big hits for us, and scores runs every game.

‘26 2B/SS Mayson Elam ( @ElamMayson ; @NHSJagBaseball ) gets a pitch on the outer half and shoots it the other way for a single as the Jaguars are threatening in the 5th. Top 20 player in the ‘26 AL class, hitting out of the 2-hole for a solid 6A squad.

One tradition we have in our program is we celebrate our seniors’ birthday with a cookie cake. Today we celebrated @BrazilGarland . He’s one of our hardest workers and a great leader. Not to mention an outstanding student. Happy Birthday Garland!!

MS/JV/V all rained out today so we had one big practice with the whole program. Thankful to the older guys who get it and took time to coach the younger guys. We ended practice with a groundball competition. Pictured are the winning MS/JV/V players and winning outfielder

Really proud of my Calc BC group! A lot of our kids earned college math credit and won’t have to take as much math in college. Our pass rate was higher than the state and global avg. Even more impressive is there were a lot of student athletes in my group 🤓 @NHSJagAthletics

I’m late on my tweet but two days ago we celebrated our last senior’s birthday. We are celebrating it early, but I wanted to make sure we were able to do it. So thankful for this kid. Zeb is a great teammate and will be missed next year. Happy (early) Birthday Zeb!

Brady has a really solid left handed swing with pull side power but can still spray to left field. He’s got good plate discipline for a high school kid leading us in fewest strike outs the last two years. Surprisingly ok speed for his size and can play multiple positions.

This isn’t just a HS issue. One of my guys went JUCO out of high school, was a JUCO all-American, 2-year starter & was going to fulfill his dream of playing D-1. Now he’s scrambling to find a place to play. Lots of great things about the game now, but this kind of stuff isn’t it

The purge of incoming high school players to big D1s is starting. 6-7 weeks out from school starting and kids are being told they no longer have a spot. Something was going to have to give and here is our answer.

I actually learned a lot about coaching, how to run a successful program, and how to work with kids from Coach Dobbs. Anyone who thinks you can only learn from a coach within your sport is missing out on great perspectives from other coaches.
