Stats update - My wife & I have now reported 484 drivers to
@ASPRoadSafety
since Nov 2018, for dangerous/careless driving or handheld phone use. Only 18 were NFA. 466 risk-taking drivers have had warnings, fixed penalties or prosecution - making our local roads safer for all.
"As a result of this report I can confirm a positive outcome in that the driver identified in the submission will receive either a warning letter, a fixed penalty or a prosecution." Bad language from this rude driver.
Lucy World was handed five points on her driving licence, fined £440 and order to pay £625 costs and a £44 victim surcharge, after refusing a FPN and pleading NG in court.
Lovely ride to work this morning until
@TyrefixUK
driver inflicted this fast, close pass on me. Outside lane clear, could and should have left me at least 1.5m or more at this speed.
This driver was laughing as she pulled out on the 3 cyclists causing them to brake. She wasn't counting on a driver with dashcam. Hope she isn't laughing when the police contact her about her driving.
I don't know the chap 25m in front of me on a Giant Revolt this morning, but the dimwit in the Audi decided that my signalling left somehow meant that he also was turning left 😲! Needs an eye test and a driving test. Reported.
Even with a demonstration of a perfect pass right in front of them this Audiot couldn't bring themselves to drive safely. Forgive my despair. Over 500 reported on these roads in the last four years, and still they come thick and fast.
In court tomorrow for a driver who threatened to punch me after I had to tap his car to plead for space on the road. Going through the footage over & over again - I hope it shows the proximity of the car and the threatening & aggressive behaviour very clearly.
If you're the sort of young chump who enjoys straying over the road to pass an oncoming cyclist too close, better make sure he's not running a camera. Especially if your VED is two months out of date.
Scaffolding truck driver, patiently waited behind me at a junction, follows me up a blind hill, no pressure, then overtaking when it's safe leaving plenty of room. 🚴👍
I'm sure the roadworkers were relieved that it was only the 1,850kg Audi which steamed past the red light towards them, and not a lawless destructive 85kg cyclist. Think of the carnage!
I've reported 292 drivers to
@ASPRoadSafety
since Nov 2018, for dangerous/careless driving or phone use. Only 11 were NFA. 281 risk-taking drivers have had warnings, fixed penalties or prosecution, warning others to be more careful, & making my local roads safer for everyone.
Slow reactions, rolls past me eyes on her lap, sure enough at the lights she's still typing away on the phone. The message isn't getting through to some people.
Stats update - My wife & I have now reported 357 drivers to
@ASPRoadSafety
since 11/2018, for dangerous/careless driving or handheld phone use. Only 13 were NFA. 344 risk-taking drivers have had warnings, fixed penalties or prosecution, making local roads safer for all.
When the local Facebook page cyclist-hater-in-chief metes out a nasty close pass to a camera cyclist, you can be sure it'll get reported! 😂 I noted what car she drove some time ago and was expecting this day would come. Maybe some remedial training will help her leave more room!
Thank you to
@ASPolice
and
@ASPRoadSafety
for ensuring that this driving was dealt with appropriately. Driver received five points and a fine after pleading guilty.
I've reported 248 drivers to
@ASPRoadSafety
since Nov 2018, for dangerous/careless driving or phone use. Only 9 were NFA. 239 local risk-taking drivers have had warnings, fixed penalties or prosecution, warning others to be more careful, & making my local roads safer for everyone
This tailgating driver from July pleaded not guilty, claiming that I was drunk and cycling erratically. Six points plus £800 financial penalties including a £150 compensation order to me. Book thrown. Bad language!🤷🤦☹️🚴
Stats update - My wife & I have now reported 404 drivers to
@ASPRoadSafety
since 11/2018, for dangerous/careless driving or handheld phone use. Only 16 were NFA. 388 risk-taking drivers have had warnings, fixed penalties or prosecution, making local roads safer for all.
Obstruction on your side of the road? If it's only a cyclist coming towards you, why wait for him to get past safely before pulling out around it 🤷♂️🤦♂️. Reported.
Well it's all kicking off on the Bristol Post Facebook page, I spoke a few words to a Daily Star reporter and the message that bad drivers are being held accountable by our cameras is on national and local media. Much gnashing of teeth.
Van driver pulled out on me this morning. Emerging from a side road on my left & saw me but went anyway, counting on me to brake. I wouldn't have bothered reporting this but for the mobile phone he was also staring at in his right hand as he emerged across my path.
Stuff the highway code, this one's a-coming through, kid or no kid. Reported. A local driver hit & run a papergirl at the weekend, so we have to camera up even for a short trip to the shops.
Fortnightly breakfast meeting for 6. I'm the only cyclist. Had permission to take my bike inside for >6 years, so carry no lock with me. Abruptly/rudely refused permission to bring bike in this morning. All 6 of us went elsewhere & will not return.
@brewersfayre
My wife overheard a local driver whining about getting filmed overtaking a cyclist too close and having to pay 4 a course. Not her fault there was an oncoming car, apparently. Hope she learns something on the course! (Probably my report 😁🚴👍)
"Cars are for f***ING roads!" says this young oaf as he forces me to a halt, despite the highway code's rules about negotiating obstructions on his side of the road. In need of re-education.
Court outcome - fined £220, costs £620, victim services £34, and 3 penalty points on conviction of driving w/o due care and attention. My evidence was agreed & did not need to attend. Hope his driving has improved.
My electronic horn comes in handy when driving instructors fail to check over their shoulders, check their mirrors, or even signal before pulling away from the kerb 😅🤦🚴
DO NOT overtake where you might come into conflict with other road users, for example... when you would force another road user to swerve or slow down.
Drivers like this go to court, and plead the predictable and ordinary consequences of losing a licence, which are accepted as "exceptional hardship" and then make no effort at all to change their dangerous habits.
Epsom High Street, driver stopped by
#VanguardRST
and found to be on 14 points! She initially claimed just to be looking at her sat nav until shown the very clear video. Then she admitted to sending a voice note. Reported to court.

@DylanBantoft
It's textbook driving without consideration for other road users. Ignoring the passing place on his side of the road and expecting us to get into the hedge. We both would've stopped in that space and fully expected him to do so.
All 3 drivers looked in their nearside wing mirrors here. The Honda & Audi drivers stayed clear to allow me to filter. The van driver however tried to block the cycle paint. Everyday bullying by a resentful driver.
Reporting works! This vehicle passed me really close and very fast a while ago, it really shook me up - but just look at it now! Thanks
@ASPRoadSafety
😀
If you haven't bothered getting an MOT due last October, wouldn't it be sensible not to draw attention to your car by driving too fast and too close to a cyclist with a camera and a
@PassPixi
badge?
Cycled to work as promised in full Santa get-up this morning. Best bit - a hearse, bearing a coffin, with all the living occupants having a good old laugh at Santa on a bike!
Good job this lady looked up from her phone as the truck driver ignored the red light. I hope these lights have cameras, because my dashcam did not pick up the registration.
Well that took off a bit, I've had to disable notifications and even do a bit of blocking. Just trying to enjoy a ride with my girls, which we did, regardless of the one bad driver. Bon courage ❤️🚴👍. We will overcome.
Fiesta driver nosing his car out can see me approaching for well over 20 seconds - he can see perfectly well from the stop line as well. Not bothering to report.
#perfectlygoodcyclepath
"Ah" I thought, "ten miles into work and all well, at last nothing to report, good driving all around" but within 500 yards of the destination.... an extremely

!
How thick an Audi driver do you have to be to sit directly behind a cyclist displaying a Passpixi at the lights, then mete out a very close pass a few moments later?
Decided to be loud & proud on my local FB groups about the rise in dashcam/bike cam reporting. I'm old enough to laugh at any flak from the speedophile "snitch" cycle haters. Important that these people especially know their driving can be filmed/reported anywhere, anytime.
#ClosePass
Pinch point close pass. I was already alert to the risk by the silver car joining from the right, but most HGV drivers hold back at this point until the road widens a few metres ahead.
Makes me angry when a driver does this to my wife. At least we know that A&S will take action. Keeping my eyes out for this one nevertheless. Reported.
Not good when these folks have to swerve about on icy roads because they'd taken a chance on an unsafe overtake! I've reported the Ford SUV driver before for risky overtaking.
This cyclist obeys traffic signals, but the van driver can't be bothered to wait one minute and forces the oncoming driver who has a green light to stop.
