Those people interviewed on radio/TV who’ve climbed Everest or rowed the Atlantic then become motivational speakers. Good luck to them but I find carers who look after loved ones for decades or people who do 12 hour shifts in a job they hate to feed their kids more inspiring.

Watching #LoveIsland with my son and feel sad that 19 year old girls don’t look like they did when I was that age. We had our own sense of style and our own culture. Now they look like 35 year olds whose highlight of the week is having a glass of Prosecco at lunch with the girls.

I feel sick to the stomach to hear that a 9 year old girl was fatally shot last night in Liverpool. Another fatal stabbing of a woman in Kirkby last night and the shooting of a 28 year old the evening before. Three females killed in 48 hours in Liverpool.

One of the worst things about twitter is glancing at the phone and seeing news which feels like a punch in the stomach. My dad dragged us to watch @LeighCenturions home and away for years and like many people Des Drummond became my hero. So many memories. RIP Dessie #desdrummond

Feel I’m in the eye of the Covid storm. Live in Liverpool. Siblings in Bolton. One son at university in Nottingham. Other son in his second fortnight of self-isolating (Covid in school). Dad went into hospital negative, now has Covid. Going to do my best to be positive 💪🏻
