Crew of 7 onsite at our Palms project. 43 units. Excavating and lagging on the NE perimeter of the site. Lagging involves placing support structures and preventing the soils from collapsing. Concrete sub will begin shortly.

Top floor of our 26 unit project in Silverlake. Rooftop views of the hills will be INSANE! Across the street from one of CIMs latest projects, “the Dillon.” An express target just opened up across the street. That’s always a good indicator the area is improving

Because of ED1 in Los Angeles, market rate projects are taking SIGNIFICANTLY longer to get RTI. What used to take 14-16 months is now taking 16-20 months, if not even longer. A client even paid expedited fees ($20k+) which supposedly would get you a letter of determination within

Our land use team has 42 active entitlement projects (all ground up apartments). That’s over 2,500 units in the City of Los Angeles alone. 80% of them are 100% affordable housing projects using ED1. We figure our construction company will bid 90% of these projects, and get a

So often, "Developers" or those coming from the value add/flipping world & seeking to develop will not account for soft costs. Big mistake. Your architects & engineers will be involved during construction, I promise. RFIs need to get addressed, and your engineer's time is not

LA Mayor Bass has introduced the LA4LA initiative, which urges wealthy residents to contribute to a fund to help the city acquire more properties for housing the homeless. Looks like the City of LA is starting to syndicate some deals!
