-Using charges on "Corruptible" items gives progress towards corrupting them.
-Items can be toggled to "Autocharge" to a desired threshold when withdrawn from bank. Gif below!
-Rare drop from ToB that allows vyre well in POH.

Oof, this one definitely stings the most. Still would really like to hear feedback on what parts people feel are bad and how they could be better!
To clarify, this won't include items that require in world interactions like Scythe and Book of the dead, but ones that are in inventory (Though I am thinking of solutions for some of those as well, such as PoH vyre wells as rare ToB drops.)

There is a lot of valid feedback coming in for the new prayers! In an effort to tackle one problem at a time, I've put together a prototype to show how we might visually reflect effects like "Strike Balance". For those who had those concerns, what are your thoughts?

Yeah if I'm honest I read this whilst cooking and totally missed the first half of the comment. If you don't like it at all fair enough! Do want to hear from people who might like the idea but think we're executing wrong.
Goal here is no intrusive UI elements or new bars/buttons. Maybe a lil' sound effect. Again, there's a lot of other feedback that's been given (Many of you don't want a prayer like Strike Balance! I do hear you.) But I'm trying to focus on the specific "Visual feedback" concerns.

Toggle per category, the way I've grouped them in the post is how I'm currently doing it in code, so all crystal tools use the same toggle/quantity, crystal armour uses a separate one (For all recols), bowfa/salad have their own, etc...

Love how Leagues is reinforcing how goal setting is such a big part of OldSchool. Sure, there's points, but how fast can you do inferno? Max all skills? 200 mil con xp? The community is so great at taking our game and expanding it with their own hands. ❤️

I like the idea personally, my main challenge would be: One of the biggest pieces of feedback we got from community surveying is that people didn't want prayer books for combat styles, so like a "Melee" prayerbook, so I think you'd face a decent amount of resistance there. 1/2

There has been! As suggested in the stream yesterday, we'd like people to have to carry special symbols that cost gp in order to use them in wildy/PvP, so no free power without risk. We're also not doing any prayer penetration type effects in PvP. Got Manked on speed dial :)

Fair! But I think we have levers for that. We can lock prayer alignments behind GM quests. We can lock some of the stronger players behind harder PvM encounters (like CoX) so by the time you can get it you're really no longer a newbie.

Appreciate you taking the time! Do think these aren't for me! :) but there are also people who don't want to constantly flick between prayers for the overheads (Does it start to feel too much like an active ability rather than a prayer?) and we want those people to be happy too!

My take: If we did (and it is an if) it would be for a hard mode for which the pet is the only possible drop (No other uniques/loot), and that would be the only way to get the pet. And that's a big if. Currently not in the books.

Any thoughts on where/which-prayer we've gone overboard? We're keen not to go too boring with +X% attack +Y strength%, want to make it interesting, so we need to find a good place to draw the line. More detailed responses would be really appreciated!

33% on each hit! Keep in mind it's a special weapon, not like Torag's Hammers. Second hit always misses if first does (Like the bosses).
Feedback on stab bonus has been heard and is being discussed but that sort of change is coldfix only unfortunately!

Keep in mind this is literally just the earth blast VFX scaled down. We would definitely want to work closely with our amazing art team to make something fitting and visible. But here you go!

This is what I had meant to communicate by "Missing an attack", but I realise now that was fairly unclear. I don't expect players to stand around for 3 ticks if they can't attack on cycle😄 Will try to be clearer in future!

Fwiw, I'm a big fan of Ballistae from an aethetic/thematic point of view. I did see your earlier comments about making it not a bow but at that point the bow was really well received and it would have been hard to pivot. A mental note has been made for the future though!

You do hit more 1s against the Eclipse due to flat armour. Flat armour will never reduces your damage to 0, so on a 5 or a 6 you'll hit a 1. You used to hit even more 1s due to a bug, but that's now fixed. There's other things at play, but I'm sure you guys will crack it soon! 😄

Can't speak to the specifics of project rebalance, but it's a cool weapon and I'd definitely want to see it succeed. It may take some time to find the right place for it, but with new monster designs on new projects, we're certainly looking for opportunities to let it shine! 2/2

The end product is untradeable but the synapse used to make it is not! You'll be able to buy this item on the GE as long as you've completed WGS and you've got an arclight.

"Burning on a 0" does sound pretty unintuitive now that you've raised it. Will shuffle some damage splats around without affecting dps so that the number of burns always feels adequate. Once again thank you both!

In short: Originally yes they did apply 3 burns guaranteed, and as you've noted that would have been far too strong (The error in my spreadsheet made me think it wouldn't be.) I have reduced the likelihood to 0.15/0.3/0.45.

Don't disagree that a bis crush defender would be cool! I'd personally love to add more "Style specific" defenders. But I don't think it should come from this content! Crush defenders are more useful in most players' end games, so I'd like it to come from a harder boss personally

We're working on a better way of wording these kinds of things, but you're pretty much spot on. It's not totally random, it happens when you attack, but we don't want it to be every attack (Or even that frequently) because that would be tedious. We're trying to strike a balance

I hear you man. Unfortunately alignments will not be coming with WGS. But the conversation around better prayers for pures doesn't have to end at alignments, I'm a proponent of them and so are a lot of other people on the team. We're looking for good ways to introduce them!

I can't commit the team to anything, but I'll note that to me several of your suggestions sound perfectly reasonable. Some of them take time though, both logistically and development wise, so I do have to ask for your patience. But it will not be forgotten!

Thanks Dylan, to clarify Dual Macs gain the bloodrager effect when the full bloodrager set is worn (Without it, they just have 0%) and the proc chance currently sits at 33% per successful hit. Will look at clarifying this today.

Appreciate the input. I agree that having a difference between scmbs and other pots is good for the thematics of herblore! Makes it feel like you're actually concocting something special. Reducing the amount of banking it involves is also good though, and I reckon we can do both!

Hi Zebra! I'm not on Varlamore anymore but my understanding is that it's being polled as a 4t weapon now, and that it will have a similar range to standard spells! Olm magic 3:0 sounds cool though, will keep it in mind for future reward space :)

That's a me thing! I genuinely liked its positioning as an exciting update to d-defender whilst not touching any super prevelent end game metas (ToA, CoX,Nex, even ToB with Scythe). But I am hearing the concerns about salad blade/dds at ToB loud and clear!

To elaborate on my other response, whilst I don't disagree it would be nice QoL and interesting strategic gameplay, it would also affect gp/hr of those runs, potentially pushing them over 3 moon runs, and discouraging learners from experiencing all 3.

Sure: Assume every hit is non-zero (We're just shuffling damage numbers around, not affecting raw damage output E.G if it would have been 0,0,17, it's now 1,1,15) so every hit has a chance to burn.

If you believe in it though, keep pushing the idea. I think it's great when players push their own agendas because it creates a lot less friction when change comes from within than when we push it. This game is driven by the community, if people change their mind we will listen!

I don't want to give too much detail as I think some of the community is having fun figuring it out themselves, but I'll say this: It works differently for each boss. It's related to damage taken, but not always 1:1. Hope that helps!

I'm not on Varlamore right now, but I think the rewards have been polled already so unlikely we could get this in. But I don't dislike the idea! Don't be surprised if we yoink it as a reward for a quest or something 😄

The answer is, unfortunately, slowly. You can't cook a chilli con carne quick and we're learning that you can't cook alignments quick either. I appreciate you showing interest and will relay the sentiment to the team, but I wouldn't expect them any time soon.
