Equally fascinating and worrying at the same time. I think the issue around flexible working will only continue to be a massive deterrent to potential applicants. The sector has to find a way of thinking creatively to engineer flexibility for teachers to match modern working.

Another key driver is flexibility. Grads mainly working from home has tripled to 45% in pandemic. We should be looking at more flexibility in teaching, but nature of profession means can't fully compete with that. Potentially worrying trend without compensating measures elsewhere

@JonnyUttley @warwickmansell Spot on Jonny. A genuine turnaround for underperforming schools will be about far more than improving pupil outcomes. Culture, well-being, recruitment and retention, embedded CPD etc. Genuine change can take multiple years and should be given the space and time it needs.

@MrManCity8 @TomYoungSJ This is such a bad take. Spent most of his early career at Chelsea, moved to Bournemouth and was better than everyone else for 2 seasons. Moved back to a.l big club and is proving himself. Pep will have an influence for sure but to say it’s ‘entirely’ him is nonsense.

A lot of #afcb fans with short memories on here. Afobe had huge impact after signing and along with King, kept us up last season. Poor this season but Defoe was given a longer run than him with little justification.
